Yep, the Weirs gets worse every year. Alot of it has to do with decisions the city has been making and of course, the mentality of the cops. Hell, I got a good shot of mase in the Hells Angels tent a few years back just because some pansy bicycle cop over reacted.
Every year bike week spreads out away from the weirs more and more. Alot of people stay between Meredith and North Conway. They ride all week and just show up in the weirs Fri and Sat. I don't think the city of laconia gives a ****, they are always crying that they don't make any money on the deal. Guess they don't care how well the local business' do. Even our friends make over $3K in 3 days just parking bikes on their lawn.

I know a few people who make that much easy. Food vendors, etc.
Still sucks that 5 years ago it was still pretty decent. It's pure crap now, but I may still head up. Probably not this weekend, but maybe Friday of next week.
My buddy has a place right next to silver sands marina. So his spot is real nice, either that or Governors Island. Hopefully we'll take a ride around the lake and call it a day. Cops are all on a power trip this time of year.

Don, i started going in 95, and you are right about it getting worse and worse, i dont think its because of the family thing 100%, but the cops make it realy suck! bustin ***** for everything. thats why i use the boat instead, i take the bike up, do a ride away from laconia on friday, then it pretty much sits and i use the boat. the cops suck, and id rather not sit in traffic.
