Default Damn it's hot...

It was 90 degrees when I went for lunch a little while ago and we're only about a 1/2 mile from the ocean. You'll find me sightseeing..... at Horseneck Beach during lunch tomorrow

I can image how it is in Providence and Boston today.

Ok, it's now considered cool over here!

20 years from now we'll probably think 100-105 degrees is nice and 110+ on the East Coast will be common highs.

Yup, I'm frying my breakfast eggs on the pavement tomorrow a.m.

It is now 10:20pm (Delaware time) and it is still 81 degrees, but it was actually hotter in Ocean City, MD by 2 degrees (heat index of 108 at the fricked beach of all places)

WTF

My weather tracker is telling me that it's 96 in-land but it's only 86 here. I took a ride out to Martha's Vineyard this morning. It was warm, but not to bad out there. It's only going to be 80 on Thursday (buuurrrr!).

Lessons learned recently, when it's this hot, don't drive a low car on concrete roadways. The concrete expands and buckles and causes over $4000 in damage. That's what my first estimate came in at. My exhaust is damaged from the headers to the tailpipe need to be replaced. My k-member is dented and needs to be replaced. The front bumper is cracked, and bulging, and needs to be replaced and repainted all because of the expansion joint buckling on a 100 degree day a few weeks back.

I thought I escaped this kind of heat when I moved up here, but I can tell you that 100 degrees here is nothing like 100 degrees down south. Or I should say humidity. It really doesn't feel that hot to me. The humidity is only 48%.

yeah, same here... after living in GA where we had 105 heat indexes by may and having been in palm springs CA, this is easily doable.
