LS1 transplant into my 73 Z/28
Roadway Express arrived today at about noon time and delivered my LS1 out of a 99 Trans Am.
I'm going to drive my 73 Z another 4-6 weeks and then pull the old school small block and start on the conversion. I'll be saving the old motor as it is a numbers matching block, I'll line it up right next to the Turbo 400 that I took out back in December
I hate carburators with a passion and am looking forward to getting the LS1 running. It should be pretty sweet.
It's going in stock, I'll work on mods at a later date.

Good luck with the swap.. Year One has components you might need.

Yeah its a nice idea for sure. My favorite things would be in order:
1. passing inspection with no cats
2. being able to pull a LS1 out of the car from the top.
3. having some nice classic old school Camaro and still getting decent gas milage

Thanks guys,
To quote a buddy of mine "It'll be a beautiful thing"
Mr. B,
Carb is adjusted just fine...thank you.
It just takes forever to warm up and then even when it is warm it's really not warm enough.....

if you have trouble finding a part or a question you know what forum to ask.
It will be real cool to have the ls1 in there and some one ask you at the gas station how many miles to the gallon you get, and you say 20mpg, the look on there face will be priceless.

Bob,
That will be great, I'm going to ditch the 4:10's and go to some 3.42's as well.
I've only checked mileage once in it's current configuration (old school sbc w/ 4L60E) and it got 13.4 on a combo highway / sprited driving mix but I'm looking forward to 20ish (depending on how far the little peddle on the right is pushed)
