The NJ state pigs are in black and white Chargers now. Probably the 5.7, I don't think they'd spring the extra few grand for the 6.1. Very low profile light bar, with additional lights either on the side views or above the rearview in the cabin.

my buddys dad is a fleet manager at chrysler. He sold a bunch to our police force state and county. They got the 5.7 as far as i know. Some of them dont have tinted windows they look like normal cars. also some of them have the light in the visors and they flip down so there is no way to tell. Watch out for em

Yeah the Statey's have some chargers now. I was talking to my dad's friend who is a state cop and he said they had some. I didnt ask how many there were or if they were slowly switching over to them.

theres only one in smass that i know of that actually painted state police colors, its been seen around rt 3 in billerica. Most of them are just unmarked chargers, and they are modified. so no more 127 Top speed like the vics, something tells me these things will do 150+, all the new oil coolenr, power steering cooler, trans coolers, they loaded these things up. keep your eyes peeled boys. especially you marcel.......

I found this picture on a site about a month ago . I have not seen one myself .
East Bridgewater MA , does have a Charger , I have seen it .

We should start getting familiar with the headlights , ya know the way you can see a Crown Vic from a mile away .

while i was on the ride along i asked the trooper about them...he said they go a little better than the crown vics the vics top out at 126mph, the chargers are supposed to top out at about 145mph...big difference but the charger is only slightly quicker in getting to that 120mph mark...i hate ford but them damn crown vics get the **** kicked outa them and they just keep going....on another front CT state police is looking into the new impala wiht the v8...i was told they might order 3 or 4 for rt 84 and 395.

Hmm, I noticed that VT loves the Chevy cop cars...they're still running the old 1990's caprice LT1's, newer Impala's and only a few of the Vic's. I wonder if they'll head toward the new V8 Impala. CT has been using Ford Crown vic's as long as I can remember....except for the occasional speed trap car like the Black Z28 in I91/84 Hartford area and the big Ford Econoline van. I saw a few Chrysler 300m/intrepid type sedans in the past few years but they dissappeared quickly....

Alot of the VT police have just been reconditioning the LT1 caprice and returning them to service.. they like them better then the crown vics. My brother in law is a VT cop... 2 months ago he went to a full day showing $ ride & drive of the Hemi charger, and he said it was looking like the state police would be switching over to those...

That's exactly like the one I saw here yesterday in central Mass---complete w/cow-catcher mounted on nose. Man, they sure aren't real pretty, and wait till the brake dust gets encrusted on those wheels. At least they'll be easier to recognize than the Crown Vics, for everyone's sake, I hope..... Anyway, the Mass State Police have always treated me way better than local townie police when getting stopped WJ

if your ever headin down south and your gonna be traveling through philadelphia via I95....be carfull cause philly's finest highway patrol uses 5.7l chargers for cruisers. they are all white with a blue stripe on the door and black rims. low light bar...lights everywhere and a nice little bumper push bar to aid in the "PITT" maneuver..
