Newbie from CT
I just introduced my self in the main forum, but being from South Windsor, CT, I figured I would post here. My name is Tom, I'm 18, and I got to school at Salve Regina University (small school in Newport, R.I.) My Current DD is a 79 T/A (yes, I do drive it through the winter), and my dad owns a 69 Camaro SS. Pics of the cars can bee seen here:

If there are any cool events happening in CT, let me know. Also, does anyone know when Camaro/Firebird day will at NED this year? We planned to drive both cars up last year, but since they switched it to September, I happened to be moving into school that weekend.

Welcome. That's a good school you're attending, for academics and a school that usually fields a great baseball team....Don't know if the '07 NED race schedule has been finalized yet, but should be easy to find out w/a call up there...I'm sure some Ct. members will be responding to your post and will let you know what goes on down there. Best of luck in college and happy holidays....

WJ Thanks, I do love the school. I guess I will either wait for some info on the drag day, or give them a call. I wasn't planning on racing (my car is too slow, and my Dad's car would eat the tranny if it got traction) but we wanted to drive both cars up to watch some of the action. Also, do any of you CT guys cruise the pike during the summer? I go once in a while with friend, but they drive imports. I would like to go and hang with some domestics. I do see some nice muscle cars at Burger King.
HAHAHA. It seems like thats the case for every car show in the northeast. Last summer a local car show was rained out like 5 or 6 times. It was supposed to be in May but ended up being in the end of August.

I'm really looking forward to getting out this summer and going to as many shows/cruises as possible. Its going to be may last summer with the car, so I plan on enjoying it. After that I have to get a new DD and it goes on classic insurance and into storage. Classic insurance is wicked cheap, but you need to have a minimum 5 years driving experience. I'm only approaching 3. So after finishing school (possibly law school but the fact of going to school for that long scares the crap outta me) I will tear into the T/A/. I'm thinking Ls1 with some cubes, or maybe a KB blower. Or maybe both. The new big bore 2.8 KB looks like it could make some power

Still can beat you like you stole something.
There is a group or us local that all hang out together and live within 10 miles of each other. Probably doing a lot of hanging out in my garage in the winter.
