Default Yep, it's white...

George just came down here to throw back on headers on the z06. He just the car back, I was a little skeptical about the color when I heard but in person it is amazing! The body shop did an amazing job, you cannot tell the original color of the car anywhere, no paint lines, etc.

Hard to take pictures in our dyno cell but here are a few i snapped:

It's now a C6 Zo6 without matching #'s, though....quite a drawback for a car of that stature, and almost a tell-tale sign that it's been hit, but I'm sure he could probably care less. WJ

Thumbs up

It does look good in the pics.

Were the headers that were originally on the car damaged in the accident or were they just taken off in the event that the car was going to be totalled?

Yes, Chef's got a point....if the insurance co. could find ANY excuse not to pay a claim of that size, we all know they would....maybe the cats had been removed as well---a definite excuse for non-payment. WJ

can they really deny a claim or just pay for the cost of the stock part instead?

I believe that if the cats had been removed, the car could be considered not road-worthy, (federal laws concerning emissions tampering) then the ins. co. could refuse to pay the entire collision claim. This emissions stuff is becoming very sticky. Many states now have portable emissions testing equipment, and are educating registry and state police in how to use the equipment and what to look for visually, as far as missing cats, O2 sensors, editing pcm functions, etc. Insurance companies are also starting to educate their claims adjusters regarding these things. Once they get rolling w/this stuff, it will only get worse. WJ

ive seen portable emissons testers here though its been awhile. missing cats is easy to spot but if law enforcement can check PCMs and other things that really sucks.

isnt there ins. you can get for high horsepower cars though it might be restricted to how much and where you can drive it.
