Default seats came in today

Got my kirkey pro street seats today, brackets (at least to use as a starting point) 5 pt harness for drivers and passenger's side, neck brace too. Just have the fire jacket left to get, and I'll have everythign I need, at least until it breaks the 9 second barrier.

6 pt goes in first week of february and the seats will get mounted... then it's take teh seats back out to paint the rollbar, then atempt to lay in that 80 inch wide ozite and tack it down good for carpet, remount the seats and clean it all up..... should be ready to make some legal 10 second runs next year, work the suspension and stuff some more and try to get it to 10.5 on motor

I'll post pic's of the rollbar once it's in with the seats mounted, then some more after it's painted and the ozite carpet is in.

As the parts come in, and the cage install gets closer, I'm getting more excited about next season.... should be here soon, sooner then later if the weather stays like it is!

Why a 6 point? Send back the seats and put the $$ towards a 10 point.

I was looking at my Kirkeys yesterday. My 4 year old should fit in his no problem

It's being built so I could finish it off to a 10 pt eventually.

realisticially, I don't see the car running in the 9's or better any time soon... I want to be able to race it in the 10.5 index when I do have the time to race it, only way it's going much faster then that is if I really spray the ***** off it, or lighten the hell out of it and make some motor changes, neither I see myself doing any time soon.

I am working on trying to get a kit for the car though, but it will be more for rental days/grudge matches against a few friends, and for show, then to use to actually race with. With a little more work, I think it should be able to run around the 10.5 # on a hot day, once the suspension is 100% and I get the right tires on the car. The weight removed by going to these seats is a good help towards getting the car lightened up some to get it to the goals I have in mind for it.... and they really aren't that uncomfortable.

Have to see though.

I don't know.... it may be just about done, but I still need to get a hitch and whatnot on my truck. I have a trailer I can bum every now and then.. but I really need to buy my own so I can use it whenever as well, that probably won't happen this year though, but I should be able to get it out ofr a few trips this year.

I'd love to go to jersey in march, but I don't think I have any chance of ever getting thru etown's noise rule with the LM on the car, I wanna have a dual setup like the kooks setup done so it will be quiet enough, but again, there's the $ I'd need for an open 18 foot trailer... argh

his car with the current exhaust set up would even stand a remote chance of passing the noise rules at ETOWN

I know chef.. I said I have to get a hitch and I have a trailer I can bum (yours) I just want to get the rollbar and the assorted things to go along with it done and taken care of, put some rubber under the car so I can drive it to car shows and put the right rubber on the drag rims first... then I'll deal with the other stuff I have to get done.

All with time, and as $ allows. Unfortunately, I ran my money tree bare last year between the motor and the **** with the house.. so it's back to saving as I go and doing what I can without compromising my $ plans.... I refuse to carry a balance on a credit card.. if that weren't the case, I could do everything tomorrow and be done with it

I've got a fire jacket I don't use anymore. It's an XL black RCI jacket. No rips/ tears.
You wanna buy it?

I doubt it will fit..... I don't really fit in a shirt that's smaller then an xxl tall.

I'll try to see by the measurments on summit's site on that model jacket if it will fit, and if it will I'll let ya know.

Ahhh, don't bother then. I went with a xxl myself and I'm only 190#'s.
It will never fit you right, I thought it fit me a little small.

Giessen sucks hard, especially as a MP... i usually worked the patrol between Butzbach and Friedberg. They just moved my platoon from Giessen to Hanau. Much better place here. A real PX, Commissary, better barracks, etc, oh and did i mention Popeyes Chicken and Taco Bell? lol USAG Giessen is a hole in the wall, hell its getting closed in the summer. Oh but i do miss going to all the bar fights in Downtown Friedberg LOL. No problem man glad to tell ya that nothing has changed LOL.
