What is the only thing better than car parts?

And what is the only thing better than a car?

A baby car!

I've always wanted one since I was a kid. My folks spoiled me this year, guess I'm still a big kid. Now just gotta wait for decent weather to break it in and tune.

I think I can handle this one Slowhawk

That thing is slick! Tell us more about it....I'm really not familiar w/them.Radio controlled, correct? Will it go in rough terrain, or you need a parking lot? Top speed? What's the price range of these things? Hobby shop purchase, or online? Again, nice. WJ

Sure, check out http://www.traxxas.com/

This is a R/C Nitro truck called the Revo. They make a 2.5 and a 3.3 racing engine for them. This one is there top model and typically goes for $500.

This thing will go through anything and tops out at over 50mph. Wicked fun.

Check out the videos on the Traxxas website for some cool stuff.

Nice...Last summer I attended a R/C Jet airplane meet in Gardner, Ma. These people rented the whole airport for a late-summer Saturday. There were well over 100 competitors, and some of the planes cost up to $40,000! Biggest I saw was roughly 3' long, the jet engines about as big as a 12oz. beer mug and were worth $2k, and up. They sounded like full size jets--very loud, and very impressive. The on-board electronics and gear on these planes was unbelievable, and everything was perfectly scaled. There were competitors from as far away as Virginia, and some had trailer-haulers that were ex-race car haulers, w/foam lined compartments to carry the planes and keep them from being damaged while travelling all over the country from meet to meet. Most of these guys doing this were retired engineers, pilots, or pilots who had lost their licenses for medical reasons..Many had large motor coach/trailer combos and just traveled from meet to meet for the whole summer! And I thought drag racing was expensive! WJ

lol make sure you dont go out of radio range... mine used to leave inch deep ruts in the dirt, it was nasty... once i got out of radio range though and it kept goin floored, flipped into the woods. i need a gear for mine, they eat the plastic drive gear faster then my 450 goes through tires.

haha thanks guys.

Yeah it should be a blast. I got a cool place to drive out in some sand dunes, place is huge. I'll get some video of it but it might be a couple months unless we have another weekend like last. Oh and it's quite the jumper

Don I'll race you I almost asked for the Jato which pulls the front wheels at 70 mph, just like PurEvils car!

But I wanted something more durable and could handle any terrain. The Revo is a nice cross between a monster truck and a stadium truck.

I am still a novice r/c'er, but I know they have come a long way. This truck is pretty advanced from the suspension to the transmission and engine. I spent 3 hrs last night reading the manual and watching the tuning and operations dvd. Suppose to be quite durable.

here is a taste for those who did not go on the website

http://www.traxxas.com/ftp/revo33_mo...o_revo3301.htm

http://www.traxxas.com/ftp/revo_mov/...deo_revo07.htm

and the Jato, same engine(3.3) 0-60 in 4 sec

I had a Jato, Sold it to help pay for a downpayment on my car. I still have a couple in the basement- Ill sell the rest of my stuff for 50$ to anyone who wants it. Its one electric twin battery hookup Rustler, with an ESC and a Monsters of Touring motor (goes really fast (not torquey though, not for the grass) and then I have a Nitro Sport that probably needs a new ring (piston ring) . Maybe it just needs a glow plug.

Fun cars. The Jato is worth a rediculous amount of money. I got a deal on it with a coupon and paid like 420 when it JUST came out, and then sold it a few months later after not using it very much for about 450 I believe.

I would have raced ANYONE on dirt with my Jato. That thing was faster than the road-only nitro powered Traxxas cars. Two speeds. I would hardly ever even use the second gear, thats how fast it is. Make sure you have good batteries in your radio, thats all I have to say!
