Hey,

I'm in suffolk but willing to travel for *good* reasonably priced work. Really just want to have a muffler and new tips installed. Ive been to a place closer to me but they are rough/half assed on vehicle installs (though great on making parts OFF the car) anyone have recommendations?

Give The Vette Doctors a Call. They are in Amityville.....(631) 841-0779 and ask for Carmen. Tell him that Spencer referred you and he will take good care of you. Also American Racing Headers are right next door and work hand in hand with The Docs.

Did you have a bad experience with The Vette Doctors? They have built some of the fastest F-Body's/Vettes in the country and the fastest C5's on the east coast. Are you running 7's yet?

Don't waste your time....hit up Kooks....they are a real exhaust place.

Yes they do everything from oil changes to changing wiper blades. I go there for all of my BS work as well as the big stuff. As for Kooks, yes they make a nice header, and George is a really nice guy, in fact they are on my car right now since I had them installed over 2 years ago. But the fact is that a senior member of Kooks opened his own shop (American Racing) and in conjunction with the Vette Doctors improved on the design. They make a bit more power and are 100 times easier to install. I appreciate the honesty of Carmen, from The Vette Docotrs, when he tells me that it wouldn't be worth the money for me to switch to the AR headers from the Kooks for such a small gain. He is definitely not about the money. Give em a call.
