Please give the truck atleast a month before screwing with any electrical stuff. That thing was a nightmare. There was a ton of burn't wires, wires hooked up wrong and who knows what else could be hiding. Just deal with it like the rest of the people. It's not hard to start the truck on the cold morning and let it warm up for 1 minute, drive easy till up to full temp and drive easy for the last 2 miles before the destination and just shut it off.The most you should have to wait to shut it off is 1 minute if you just beat it.

see, again i'm still learning etc. I misunderstood how long i needed to let it "warm up". i thought when you guys were saying 10min you meant actually sitting, idling for 10min. Now i get it. silly dan.

Actually the funny part is that I went over all this when you picked up the truck the first time but I guess I should of writen it down. It's pretty simple and goes with any performance engine(except the cool down)

Nice to hear dan

Wait a little bit on the remote start, for one the winter is just about done. Its doing to be in the 60's next week. Get one next winter, that way you can see if any other wiring issues come up.

yeah but yours isn't a ******* nighmare like mine is, lol.

I changed the plugs on the pass side tonight thinking they must have been f'd up do to the way it was running. It helped a bit but it's still just doesn't seem right. By "right" I mean it isn't the same truck i picked up from Dez in early Feb. That truck was a beast. Right now, i couldn't spin the tires from a dead stop to save my life.

Next task I suppose is to make an attempt to change the plugs on the drivers side.

I'm staying positive though. I remember how it ran that day and I'm gonna do whatever it takes to get back to that. (with Don's help of course)

Damn... That was a lot to read since my last post. LoL

Sounds like you're getting there Dan. Keep the patients, you've done pretty damn well so far and now the light is being seen at the end of it all. Enjoy it and take it easy on it for a bit, then unleash it all.....

I think it's a bad idea and I think you should do it yourself even if it takes you a week do one at a time. With something at that power level you have to be able to do some things on your own. Just have alittle patience and take it slow.

just spent the last 2hrs attempting to remove it. umm, yeah, not gonna happen. i don't have the time, patience or the know how (or the tools) to do this myself. SO, i'm hoping Don will let me drive it down there tomorrow. I KNOW i'll **** it up worse than it already is.
