Looking for some stroker guys in Philly

I installed my motor about two weeks ago into my Silverado SS. Its 408 with Patriot LS6 stage 2 heads, dual springs, Comp X cam. Well I have noticed alot of noise from the valve train and need to know if its normal for this motor. I double checked the pushrod length and it was good.

Hoping for some help with this cause its driving me nuts, so much so Im ready to tear it all back apart.

Although I am not infront of a motor but compared to stock, aftermarket valvetrain will have a different noise then stock. Pull the valve covers, check the valve stem tips. Try to get a recording of the noise.

whats your preload? What cam lobes? Some valvesprings are noisy some lobes are noisy etc. What lifters?

The cam is a comp xer with 238/242 605/615 114 LSA. Patriot LS6 heads with thier dual valve springs, thunder pushrods with stock rockers, short skirt Mahle pistons, LS7 lifters. From what Im told that cam with those springs and those pistons pose some serious noise. I even tore the heads back off to double check everything.

Im in Horsham area.

Sounds good, I had the truck up there about two weeks ago talking to Matt. He heard it but said he was not the guy to talk to you about engine noise. I will try to get up there Wed. morning and let you have a listen to it. Do you guys use a dynojet or mustang there?
