When I first carried a weapon in the 90's, the use of *anything* with the name "Magnum" scared people shitless.. and many cops died using politically correct .38 LRN "widowmaker" (lead round nose) ammo in a basic gun that goes back over 100 years.

All I'm saying is- PICK YOUR BATTLES!

Im gonna apply for my Firearm I.D on this upcoming Friday. Nice collection there. I'm a newb but those M4's I'm hoping to get myself a AR-15

Ummm... I lived in Albuquerque. They have very lax gun laws, that place is crime ridden. Lot's of people carrying doesn't always mean a lower crime rate. It's much easier for crimminals to get guns too. I carried in ABQ for that reason. Way to many Vato locos with pieces.

The .50 I fired weighed over 40 pounds with a huge mussel break. There is no way it resembels a common hunting rifle.

If your interested in any type of weapons go over to http://www.ar15.com. I'm a paid member over there.

The world is a messed up place and i feel the need to be able to protect myself from any harm that may come my way.

Savage 10FP-LE2 (law enforcement rifle from Savage .308 cal)
My Custom built AR-15 with a leupold Mark 4 4.5x14 scope
Kimber Stainless Target II 10mm
Smith & Wesson 22a target pistol.

I think i just about have all my basics covered out to 1000 yds.

I'm glad I live in PA where there aren't nearly as many silly rules about fire arms. I guess NJ really wouldn't like my desert eagle .50 hand gun. Oh and another thing. I love being able to carry this bitch on me at all times

^^ Nice!

I have other reasons for liking that state. The wife and I brought back a little souvenir from there, he should be done baking around april.

But you are right, quite a few of the souther states have good gun laws.

I used to carry a 1911. It was a pain in my ***, literally.

The D.E. .50 is utterly worthless as a self defense gun. That thing sux. I shot it a bunch of times thinking I would start to like it, nope. It ejects straight back, right in your face. That and every jack off at the range wants to give you a hand job to shoot it.

I can, and do carry a full size 1911 all day long and it doesn't bother me a bit. The Eagle is pretty much worthless for self defense. I bought it as a novelty piece, nothing more. A friend of mine has a range set up on his farm so that takes care of the jack offs at the range. I don't mind letting my friends shoot my guns as long as they buy the ammo. My Eagle has never hit me with brass. lf it did I would get it fixed becuase there must be something wrong with it.

actually, in MA, 4 conditions must exist before you can use lethal force to defend your life:

1: they must have the MEANS to kill you (weapon, or you can construde bare hands if you are very frail)
2: they must have the MOTIVE to kill you (just having the weapon isnt enough, you have to have a clear understanding that they intend to use that weapon to harm you)
3: your life must be in IMMEDIATE danger (someone with a weapon must be within 21 feet of you in MA for your life to be considered legally in immediate danger)
4: you must exhaust you DUTY TO RETREAT. (this one is loose. when i took my MA gun safety class, they said that the state pretty much would expect you to jump out a window before using lethal force)

so in your example, you cannot shoot someone breaking into your house until you see the weapon. just them forcibly entering your home and saying 'i'm going to kill you' isnt enough, because you dont know that they have the means. if you kill them and it turns out they are unarmed, you go to jail for the rest of your life.

or you can move to TX, where if someone forcibly enters your home or vehicle, threat is assumed, and you have the right to use lethal force to defend your life or property (MA has no concept of defense of property)

Ain't that the truth... I'm glad I bought my AR when I did. For all I know they may ban automatic rifles again like they did in 1986.

I keep challenging people to provide a reasonable use for said weapons, but no one can point me to one either.
Long Range Target Shooting, big game hunting, because if some retard COP can have one, a law-abiding civilian should be allowed to have one too. I haven't been remotely impressed with the average police officers knowledge or ability to handle a firearm safely or fire it accurately or properly, so I'll be damned if I am going to give up my gun rights and put these blundering fools in charge of my safety.
