Poor Lou G.
All he got was two free bathrobes, hot rocks piled on him, and came up wayyy short for $100,000.00
Actually- I'm glad he lost because he alienated his own driver- saying he would rather have that reckless Gushi-boy pilot his Vette. He came off way wrong and complained about the outcome- despite he wasn't near winning.. showing what a sore loser he was. I saw what appeared to be a mantra of all the teams wishing that "anyone-except-Lou G" would win.
All's not bad- he boosted the careers of the Cope girls.. and also showed how not to go on TV with the gray roots of your hair showing, and having a short bowling-ball physique in a race jumpsuit. Maybe Nutrisystem and Just For Men stickers on the Vette?
Yup- all this and they lost to a girl in a Mustang.

While I did have personal reasons for hoping that the yellow C6
would win, it was still cool seeing the cutie in the Mustang win as well. That Challenger was SO close to winning the road course too.

It’s been said by many that have seen him race, that Jace “The Ace” Meier will be the first driver to win the Daytona 500 and graduate from Harvard. While his upcoming racing and promotion schedule might alter those plans just a bit, Jace Meier is certainly not your typical racer.
Jace started his career racing go-karts at age twelve. In his first year of kart racing, Jace won one regional and three local championships with his dad, Scott, performing tuning duties. Because of his height, Jace had to move out of karts the following year and into Legends cars for the 2004 season. He finished fifth in overall point standings and was runner-up for “Rookie of Year.” That season he also earned a spot on Ron Sutton’s Developmental Team when he was selected from 284 applicants to drive one of the Sutton Ford Focus Midgets in 2005.
In 2005, his rookie season of USAC competition, Jace turned many heads as he was the youngest driver in the series and still managed to race with the veterans of the circuit. Despite missing the first race of the year because he was too young to compete, Jace is proud to say he still finished sixth in the overall season point standings. A few other accolades that “the Ace” is proud of is he won a series-high four “Earl’s Fast Qualifier” Awards, two main event wins, and had numerous heat race victories. When the 2005 season was over, Jace and crew had earned 7 top-five finishes, 5 top-three finishes, and 2 elusive event victories.
2006 was a challenging year for Jace as he competed in the NASCAR Late Model division at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway AND continued to compete in the USAC series in California. Meier ended his 2006 season on a high note, being named “Rookie of the Year” in the NASCAR Late Model division at the Bullring. With one win in the USAC series at Altamont Raceway Park in Tracy, CA, Jace’s hopes in winning the series fell short when he had to pull out of one of the last races of the season. However, it was for good reason as Jace was selected to compete in SPEED Channel's “FORZA Motorsports Showdown” where he was given the opportunity to gain a substantial amount of National Television exposure.
