Turbocharged gets my vote....friend has a twin-turbocharged LS1 powered '70 Z28....it is insane.

I like the turbo but a Procharger D1 will easilly hit your goal.Probly be cheaper and will take alot less time to do.

procharger will have that big block feel to it.... but with the auto and the right converter, the turbo could probably feel the same way.

Either option will make for a fun car.... just depends if you want to have to change a pulley to up the boost or do it with a boost controller/wastegate spring.

Now's the time to make the decision.. while there's nothing done so you're not undoing other mods (like going turbo after buying headers, that sort of thing)

I was thinking F1A Don only because I eventually will build the motor down the road so I can run the bigger turbo pulley down for less boost for now...

You can but you'll probly need a 6" pulley for now. We just had a F1A stang at the shop that made 16lbs of boost out of a D1 with a 3.4" pulley. He swaped to a F1A and had a 4.2" pulley. The car made 20lbs of boost at 6200rpm before we shut it down.

6 inch pulley will never slip, that's for sure. Might look odd in there when people look at it though LOL.
