Default E-Town Tomorrow, Sun 7/8/07

If anyone is going, look for me.. I'm taking the yellow Cobra for some shakedown runs.

I wish I got the line-lock and shiftlight delivered in time, and I had to align my catback to accomodate the 315/35/17 Nitto Drag Radials.

The weather shows 5% chance of precipitation, Partly cloudy skies.
High 95F, humidity 40%. Winds WSW at 10 to 15 mph.

Any LS1 cam-only or LT1's out there that want to tussle...

MAN- It was HOT!!!

I missed my first time shot (got up late) and I ran my second time shot straight off the Garden State.. the shifter in the car was uncomfortably hot, and I let the air out of the drag radials to 18lbs. I didn't know how the car would act (shakedown runs) so I rolled out and nailed it- BOGGED bigtime.

2.2 60', 14.1 @ 98 mph- but still beat the notchback I ran (Street Class)

Second run, cam out @ 3k rpms and roasted the Nitto's...

2.1 60', 14.0 @ 99 mph- lost to a sandbagging bigblock Monte Carlo.

The car needs to be tuned on the dyno (preliminary tune) which I suspect is rich.. car also fell on it's face in the top of 3rd gear...

It was actually very organized today- the called the classes and, although I only got two runs, it was fun because you could watch the "big boys" like the Major guy from Vette Doctors, etc.

This car is a mid-high 12 second car once the bugs get worked out!

Was it a rattle can black 70-72? If it was, that guy is a pretty decent bracket racer and the car runs in the high 11s.

That's what bracket racing is all about. You want to beat you opponent by a fender and nothing more. He was practicing for the real street bracket series.

Thumbs up

And the heat was just horribly bad, so hot and humid so that had to zap some wind from the car's sails as well. Looks real good in that pic too.
It'll go quicker in time.

Does it have all sorts of devil/demon type odds and ends all over it? I know the car as well, he cleans up in the Index 12.0 series...I hope to be facing him in the final event of that series in October.

He had all kinds of goofy **** on the car the last time I saw it. A fake leg hanging out from under the hood is the thing that I remember last. The last time Artie and I ran Real Street we both won our first round, then I got paired up with Artie, beat him and then this black monte took me out in the round after that.

Yes he still has the leg or foot dangling, also various some 'copy machine' photos on the rear side windows and such LOL.
Back window COVERED in E-town winner's plaques.

The guy is virtually unbeatable when it comes to running a specific dialed in ET, at the last 12.0 Index we saw him run a 12.000 (not a 12.01, not a 12.001 but yes a 12.000) on one pass, I thought for sure he had to have some electronics on board for that one LOL.
