Someone with a Predator Tuner
Someone with a Predator Tuner I was told that on my M6 you can program out the CAGS, and it won't light on the dash. If this is true, I am willing to throw some money at someone in the area to do this for me. If you can do the tune for the ignition or power curves too, that's even better. If anyone can do it for $50 or less, and is in the area, I would really appreciate it. If I am mistaken about the skip shift, I guess I will have to go buy one of those solenoid skippers. The Predator is married to the vin. of it's owner's car, so it cannot be passed around. Just buy a plug-in skip shift eliminator. It's your cheapest way out, any you might even find a used one FS on this board in parts f/s.

WJ those tuners are only good for one car, anyone that has one can't do it unless they have the unit unlocked, in that case they will want to sell the whole thing to ya.
get a cags eliminator if it's that annoying, I never had a problem with it coming on, if you see the light, just give the car more gas and it goes away.......
Spend the $ on a good tune, don't waste your time with a diablo handheld unit, that thing can't even really tune a car right for any mods other then a catback, and they can't disable any codes in the computer, only read them and reset them.

intresting, not sure when they changed them, but the one I have sitting in my toolbox I use as a code reader does not have that ability.
But you still can't really tune a car with any mods with one of those... so it's still only partially useful. And is that turning the code to no report, or is it disabling them.... because the only real reason you worry about that is if you have a computer scan emmissions test, and if it does not get rid of the ses light the right way you will still fail.

not sure either... what revision is yours? I see on their site that the latest one out is U7198 rev 2.13... and the manual for yours that I looked in was updated on 3/22/04...

I agree, with big/major mods you'd need a dyno tune, but for a CAI, cat-back, dialing in the fuel trims, etc etc, it's good. I don't have or plan on anything major for mine...
