Two grudge races Friday night!!
Two grudge races Friday night!! With the wife's SS. I haven't had it at the track yet (mods in sig). One race is against a 92 T-bird, 5.0 V8 with some bolt-on's. The kid who owns it works with me, he thinks it's the baddest thing on 4 wheels. He asked me how much power the SS makes, I told him "two something", he said, "yeah me too". 
He's screwed...
The other race is against a 96 Impala SS with some bolt-on's and a 125 shot. He ran 13.12 at NYIRP last week. This one is gonna be close I think, we'll see. We're racing at Skyview Drags 1/8 mile Friday night. I'll post up the results Friday night when I get home.

I wouldnt be suprised if you lose to the impala 1/8th, esp if he hooks. If you spin, you're done. Your SS has a good top end, but it will all depend on the launch for that one. Especially since its only 1/8th mile.

Verdad Gallardo OK, the wife didn't feel like driving her car, so I had a friend race it for her. The Thunderbird was running 10.60's, so he didn't have a chance. The Impala was running 8.40's at 81mph, but we never got it side by side with the wife's car, he would have won anyway. The best time with her car was an 8.63 @ 84.75mph. I was happy with the trap speed, but traction sucked. 
On a side note: I ran a 7.25 @ 93.35mph with a 1.54 60' on 255/50/16 M/T drag radials at 3580lbs with driver.
