Frustrating consistant ET at cecil last nite :(
Well I was all stoked to go to cecil all week due to they were saying what great weather we were going to have friday evening 8/17. Well half way through friday i'm like my life sucks. Rain/hail in some areas and very hot and very humid. I stay positive and say MD weather will be better WRONG Got there and it was very humid and hot. Needless to say the following performance was the result.
1st pass
1.755-60ft
11.56-1/4
124.67mph
2nd pass
1.875-60ft-burped throttle to get to stop spinning
11.77-1/4
124.23mph
3rd pass
1.756-60ft
11.52-1/4
125.13mph
4th pass
1.865-60ft
11.60-1/4
124.43mph
5th pass
1.733-60ft
11.47-1/4
125.32mph
The track wasnt holding well and I tried a multitude of tire pressures, launch RPM, burn out time. The track isnt really prepped well on fridays but its usually the only day i can go. I need a nice test and tune day on a saturday to play all day with this thing. By the time I was leaving at 10:40pm the temperature finally dropped to 79deg's out and still humid as a SOB! All runs were in the 80deg temps. So not hateful but definitely not what I'm looking for. Met alot of good people as usual, on the last pass I got my butt kicked by a brown/white ford ranger ran 11.46@117.xx and he tree'd me hard .019 to .253 R/T. and he uses a 200shot with his auto and cuts 1.63 60ft on me lol. I must say I get a crap load of attention with a very loud C5 vette with draglites at the track

P.S. When i say consistant I'm referring to everytime i've taken the car to the track it does almost the same thing. Runs some 11.5s at 124-125mph and then touches a 11.4x and thats it Last 4 times to the track same results as you can see in my previous posts. Same 60fts and similar ET's. So eat poop pal!!!!!

It'll be great when you get another ride and come out and play again. Nice to see you posting up

I had problem at Cecil at the beginning of the season, only time I've ran this year though. I ran a 2.1' (not breaking my 10 bolt just yet) 13.3@109 was my best time with ET Streets. I've got headers back, lid, tuned, and 4.10s and still couldn't break my stock time and get into the 12's??? My 1/8 was faster (8.5 with a crappy 60'), Cecil seemed fine last year.

as of right now nothing LOL, Ive been working on it for 3 years now trying to get it done, just costs a lot of money to build a race car top to bottom, stock with a ATI on there I ran 12.26 @115 MPH stock trans stall and stock rear, with everything I put into this car Im hoping for low 10s once I get a bigger procharger, my old P600B will probably get me low 11s maybe a high 10.
