getting off early when i was on my last ship was something different...we just got back from deployment, and were decomming...and we had finished all the decom related work, so we really had nothing to do, and we couldnt be on the ship since all the spaces were closed and locked...so we had nowhere to go either...
i guess it wont be too bad doing this security thing...i work 2 days on, and then 2 days off basically...and when i work its from 0530 to 1800, and thats going to suck, but then I have 2 days off... but for me to get there at 0530, i have to leave here at 0430 at the latest

right before deployment we were out to sea almost every week, so when we werent out to sea, we left early....who wouldnt? but like the year or two before cruise we would only get out like an hour or two early...and we worked until 3:30, so i would get out at 1 or 2 sometimes... of course there were some other times that we got out at lunch or before... but i dont do my job in port, i have maintenance to do, and when thats done, we just sit around...

Found The Vibe!!!! Well I dropped off my truck's driveshafts this afternoon to be balanced thinking that was the problem of my terrible vibration... well, it wasnt. as soon as I took the straps off the rear most U joint the cap fell off and the needle bearings came out, in the form of a fine black dust LOL... the U joint itself was beat into a weird oblong mess and the cap was split down the side. I'm going to have a new one put in and the whole assembly balanced just to make sure everything kosher in there.
