fun day even though got beat took the rex to work today.
saw new benz E63 AMG. whats that make? 507hp?
we raced twice from a standstill and i spun badly both times, in 1st and 2nd.
when i neared his bumper, he stopped race.
first one was at like 90 and second one ended at 70'ish.
i feel like a supra owner because i wish we did it from a roll.
if i only had my MT ET streets
But i left work earlier becuase wife is sick. on the way home:
i got pulled over in the rex
my town cop (big tattoo on forearm) says: gimme license, blah blah blah
i says: sure...what i do?
cop: i never saw that insepction sticker before
he reads it closely: oh its for collector cars
cop: oh nevermind then. what car is this?
Me: rx7 with chevy v8
cop: oh crap! that sounds awesome. take it easy

A few months back I was going to Sea Side with the woman in the TA. An SL65-AMG pulled up next to me. I did not even notice but it's the GF dream car so she started to squeal.
He egged me on and we went from a 60mph roll. Downshifted to 4th from 6th. Clutch in at 7000rpm hit the brakes, 130mph had a car and a half on him. Waited for him to pull next to me again... slowed down to 50. Put the car in 3rd. We both went. Hit 4th. Clutch in hit the brakes at 130mph. Had 2 and a half cars on him. Seemed to be a cool guy. Gave me a nod and took the ramp for rt34.
Point is, for a heavy f*cking car those things are quick. But with a TT V12 I should think it would be.

He must have been shocked, saying to himself I paid all this money for this car and this WS6 TA just handed me my ***. Not knowing what your car runs and the work that went into it. He left feeling his car was slow and about to bring it back to the dealer because it's not running right
To be fair- I crushed a M3 with the Cobra.. he must have thought it was a GT.

Im sure he was upset that he lost a race, but he just shrugged it off and figured his $170K car was still the ****.
Personally I hate Mercedes, not only because of my love for The Scuderia, but because I find nothing excitingly about their cars, and hearing from a friend of mine who is a German car mechanic, they brake down all the time with electrical problems.
Oh well. Still was a fun race.

I believe Marc has also been stopped just because the cop had "never seen that inspection sticker before".
I'll bet the sound coming out of that thing really confused him though.

DRs, don't leave home without 'em.
Yeah I've had a few cops question my 'triangular' sticker during the last year+ but I'm not so sure I like the idea of them becoming all too educated on the rules/regulations surrounding it though, sometimes less is more.
