N/A -v- Nitrous Tune
Matt.. Slowhawk.. and the rest of you tuners out there.
Generally speaking.. if the *stock* tuning is 18*, and the N/A dyno-tuned timing is 28*, do you pull the standard 2* per 50 shot from the N/A tune 28* or the *stock* tuning of 18*?

2 degrees from the n/a tune. If you have it at 28 n/a, and want to hit it with 100, then you need to put it back to 24, if you pull 2 degrees per 50 hp, which should be o.k. as long as you have the a/f right.
Start with 1 step colder plug too to be safe, never hurts to start off a touch too safe.

how much are you looking to hit it with, is it an f-body?
im seeing with 100 or less to leave the timming at 28.
im doing this with 2 cars now with 93 octain and ive been reading the plugs they look perfect and af is right on 12-12.5.
after 100-150 i would pull 2-3* 200 5* and so on.
my car with 200 i pulled 6* and my plugs red that i could have run back up ofatleast 2* but it was to crazy out of the hole, the extra 2* kept me off my bumper

Pretty much what Noyzee said.
Take a stock 02 Camaro. I ussually end up with 24-26 degree's of total timing NA with A/F at around 12.6 to 12.8-1. Then depending on shot I will leave it alone up to a 100 shot.150 I will pull 2-3 degree's.200 will get 4-5 degree's. This all depends on who's kit it is and what the real RWHP gain is.
Also make sure the the table that controls timing with richer A/F is zero'd out or the car will add timing automaticly when it see's the rich A/F.

Thanks guys.. I got a Dyno Tune Wet Kit for the Cobra and I was unsure of *where* to pull timing from- the stock or tuned N/A timing tables.
The Eastern and Nitrous Section here on LS1Tech had the most technical information- especially the wiring charts. All I'm missing is the window switch and I'm good to go.

if its a dynotune kit i would get it tuned on the dyno. thats the kit i have and when dez tuned the car he started with the jets for a 100 shot. the car went way lean and had to back out of it. the car currently has a 150 fuel jet and a 100 nitrous jet and it came out to be about a 100 rwhp shot.

From max N/A timing you want to retard 2-3 degrees per 50 shot. Also depends on a lot of other conditions, final horsepower, weather, etc. as to how the car will run. I usually will put in about 26-28 total timing on a n/a application and then go down to the 22-24 range for a 100 shot just to be very safe. Even with safety devices in hand there is still some room for human error so we like the idea of being as safe as possible with as little horsepower loss as possible when doing so

i keep tabs on the n2o section. the wiring section is good, but yes not in great order. we are trying to get it all bundled into one, and getting it brocken down better
