New ones have the new 6.7 diesel in it, the 06 has the 5.9 I'd rather hold out for the new one though.... gotta at least check.
Nothing against a GM truck and all but the Ram, especially oil burner, is a kick *** truck. Built to be a bruiser plain and simple.

I've had 4 dodge trucks since 1995, current one is a 4.7 powered 2003 1500 slt 4x4 rcsb. it tows my 18 foot brimar with my car on it no problem... but I know that if all goes as planned, 2 years from now it will get traded in (unelss someone offers me the right deal on a 06 mega cab tomorow ) and 3 years after that I will proabbly be buying my parents house, giving me a yard big enough to put a big enclosed trailer in....... at that point I will need the bigger truck.

I like the duramax, and I like the new ford super duty's too... but I've been a dodge truck guy for so long I dunno if I can bring myself to buy anything else.

Bought the Bri-Mar CH18F full deck for a price I couldn't refuse.

Sweet trailer with all the trimmings.

Kyle, you can rest easy now.

That's what I have a 18 foot brimar, but it's the open deck, I find it nice because I can get under the car with it on the trailer of needed...

Good buy though!

Oh yeah it was a good buy! So good I have to go out to Reading, PA to pick it up. That said, I got it for a price that is CHEAPER than 90% of the used ones on ebay WITH AXLE STRAPS.

I decided on the brimar b/c the dovetail is pretty aggressive and can even accomodate, say, an overly lowered C5 Z06 with slicks that can't clear a brick or something like that....

I could load my car on and off with zero rubbing no problem until I put the 28 inch tires on, it pitched the nose down a touch and now it hits a little if I don't use a couple boards at the start of the ramps.

I think I may have a way to solve that problem by changing the height of the ball though, or just crank the front of the trailer up a little when loading the car on and off.

I bought mine this spring, it was a year old and the previous owner used it maybe 4 times, I paid about 800 less then a new one after buying a spare tire, folding front support leg and the taxes/registration... I really can't complain.
