Default What place buys used catalytic converters?

I still have my cats from my car and don't think I will be re-using them, since we cut the piping for the stock exhuast. I remember reading someone mentioning that there is a place that buys our used cats for a decent ammount of money? If so I was wondering where it's located and what the phone number is, as mine are just sitting in my basement and I was almost ready to throw them out yesterday.

http://www.ct.gov/dep/cwp/view.asp?a=2718&q=325406

I googled that real quick, and called a few of em around me, but they arn't interested and told me to try a junk yard, I guess I'll try them next.

edit: Welp, I called this junkyard up:

A & B Auto Salvage, Inc.
No Description Available...
City, State Zip: East Hartford, Connecticut USA
Local Phone: 860-528-2124
Toll Free: 800-346-6318
Fax: 860-528-8859

And they said they buy em for around 20 bux, so I'll give them a shot and hopefully get around 40-60 bux for what I have, better than nothing I guess...I just thought I read that they buy each for a good deal more somewhere, I just remember anyone posting where.

40-60??? Thats way cheap man. At the shop we get about 90-100 for a stock gm cat. So you know the scrap guy is getting at least 200 for them.

I just cut the piping away from the cats, I was wondering how to package these, they seem pretty heavy, and I've actually never sent any packages out before. Do I just put them in a box with a lot of newspaper around it?

If you cut the flanges off so all you have left is just the cat they should fit in a flat rate box at the post office

Default Selling STock foreign CAT

Guys I'm new here. Can someone PM info on where I can get the most money for my old CAT? I'm willing to ship it out if there is a reputable buyer.
