id say go strange unless you get a killer de3al on the moser and id still go threw the gear setup before putting it in the car. my 9" was a joke the way they built it. strange takes a lil more time but wort it quality wise

Basically you let me use your backing plates, I send them out, when I get my new rear w/ those plates on it I take my current one's off my 10 bolt and give those to you.

Otherwise I gotta dish out the $269 for new one's or have my car sitting on a lift for a couple weeks.

I'd rather get them installed on the rear, so I have a nice easy swap. I don't want to trouble anybody but, figured I'd ask if somebody has a set just laying around.
That's one of the reasons I went with the 9" lol, I didn't want to deal with the backing plate crap.

Mine hasn't given me any problems behind my 408 stroker motor. I'm more worried about the trans than anything else.

My 402 off the transbrake certainly hasn't bothered the 12 bolt at all, even with the nitrous

I've had my Moser 12 Bolt 33 spline for over 4 years now...not a single problem minus the torque arm bolts.

I've made up my mind. Strange it is. I'll probably put in my order next week and hopefully before the end of next month be good to go.

I'm gonna install a new tranny crossmember too and get the TA off the tranny.

I've had my 12 bolt Moser w/33 spline eaton for about 4 years too. Been working great, no complaints beyond the whine. I recheck the torque on the T/A bolts though before each trip to the track.

I think i've responded in another thread about your question, and I know you've already ordered your rear...but what diff did you get?

I have a Strange 12 bolt that originally had a spool (pn 5149 i believe) and I had a tru trac put in. So if you weren't sure about the tru trac going in, I know for a fact that it works

Hey man, yeah I ended up going w/ the Eaton. I've been convinced by so many including the sponsor I ordered from to go that route. I think it will work well for me. Good to know about the Tru-trac though.

I should get my ship date later today.

So here is something interesting, Strange is not using a 3.73 gear in their rears??? They said they are gonna put a 3.90 (motive or US) in it? Something about the 3.73's being noisy?

I called Strange and they confimred this scenario, and recommended against the 3.73. This is all news to me.

Think it will make much of a difference? Maybe i should stick w/ the 3.42's I got now.
