Default Got my CPT 4l60 installed last night

i finally got my car pretty much finished up last night, first ever tranny install it took me and my buddy 3 hours, which i thought went pretty damn smooth. it consisted of a Pro Race rebuilt 4l60e from cahall performance transmissions in delaware and a brand new Yank SS3600. started it but didnt get to drive it, (kinda had to get back to school) but this fri all i have to do is throw on the true duals and torque arm, take it for a spin double check for leaks etc then break in the converter. I should be at NED not this week but next week for some test passes then 2 sundays from now my first et points race. I am very excited to say the least.

btw brad if u want i will bring doen ur motorcycle jack (which was ****** bomb for the install!) and driveshaft down friday and i'll bring my car so u can see it, i do need to break in the converter neways.. and if not im sure i will get it too u whenev....

12's here i come! not bad for a lil bolt on LT1!

Break in the converter and definitely break in the tranny unless you plan on buying another real soon. The clutches need to bed in.

my tranny rebuilder (Frank cahall at CPT Transmissions) said their is no break in time required.... but just to be on the safe side (and since i need to break in the converter anyways) i plan on driving/cruising her nice and easy for about 150 miles or so

My tranny guy swears on 3-500 miles of break in before hammering.I see the point since there are clutches and you want them to seat properly for long life.(just like a M6 clutch)

hmmm i can see the logic in that... well then thats what i will do. U are one of the most knowledgable LS1 tech's out there, and plus i just spent $1400 on this tranny i wanna make sure it lasts... 300 miles it is!

Hey where's this tranny place at? I searched for directions, and according to the directions they are on the same road as me. But I'm a little confused cause I've never seen the shop before and it looks like the directions are taking me to a house in a development by me...

picked up my tranny from FLT and they ran it on the dyno and they said no break in required. A quick blast on a converter/tranny then letting cool isn't ideal for break in??
