Default 3.4 Whipple Build

Sorry to get you guys excited but its not on an LSX car. A good freind of mine blew his car up 11 days after he bought it. It had 20k miles on it with a 2.2 KB, Solid Axle ect.

well instead of just fixing the short block we decided to go alittle overboard..

We did Custom Ross Pistons, stock Rod with ARP 2000 Bolt, new set of ARH headers, 3.4 Whipple, new clutch and 26 spline input shaft, Complete new fuel system ect.

car made just under 600 before. We are hoping for alittle more this time around.

Should make some good power. We did a stang with the same blower, ported intake to the blower and have got almost 800rwhp so far.(built shortblock)Pain to get that pass side fuel rail in there.

That's my car.

It's got the latest Gen II Rotors, revised inlet with hand ported radius section and then I deleted the EGR and added another 2 inches of inlet on the back end. If you look at the first picture you can see the weld line.

As for fuel rails, it has the billet Fore rails, and the ONLY way to get them in there is to install it in one piece. They actually didn't fit, we had to grind the inlet on the blower to get them to fit.

I'd like to see 800rwhp... maybe a couple more.

So what does an 800whp twin screw blower setup equate to approx on the track?

Wow thats strong.. I still dont know which would be a better choice, the whipple or kb 2.8 for an Ls1. I am far off from going FI but in the future I might step up to a turbo or twin screw for my ls1 rx7. The twin screw would prob be a lot easier to insall.

634 hp 605 tq on a mustang dyno. 20.5 psi boost and not much timing at all.... we are gonna leave it this way for like 800-1k miles them add a couple more degrees of timing. It should make about 700 on pump gas with more timing.

Yea Fran did a great job with this build.

With the engine, trans, wiring harness, fuel system, exhaust and half the interior being out of the car, there was only ONE hiccup after we got it running and on the dyno. The auxiliary blower pulley assembly has an idler built in, and somehow the bolt backed out a bit on the first dyno pull and the belt walked 2 ribs. It was only because I supplied the wrong bolt and idler pulley accidentally (From my previous aftermarket setup, we went back to a stock lower).

Car is still running great. Took it to Philly today and going to the Vineland Cruise tonight.

Car is around 3600lbs without me in it, full interior, 17" rims, full stereo with sub and amp, no weight reduction. Solid rear, and a steady torque curve of 590-607 with us cutting it short. Like Fran said, it should go 9's without much work and trap at least 142-143.

Thanks for the interest. I'll be in Vineland tonight if you're around come say hi.

Carlo
