Go here: http://photobucket.com/ sign up on this site, it's free. Once you do that, you can upload from your computer to photobucket and then, use the photobucket link to your picture and post your picture here. Did that make sense?

I think I read that to use the classified ads on here, you have to have at least 50 posts................. pretty sure I read that!

Default The Right Stuff ?

Ok, I think I've got the right stuff coming. I already had the Magnaflow cat back and Monday, I ordered the Kooks Stainless Headers and Y Pipe from Speed Engineering. The order confirmation said it would take 4 or 5 days. Soooooooooo, by the end of this week or the first of next week they should arrive! I need you guys that have already had headers installed on your Gen 4 Camaros to let me know if this looks like the right stuff!

I have the Stainless Magnaflow #15684 catback, Kooks 6506S 1-7/8" stainless long Tube Headers and the Kooks 6502S stainless Y pipe. Is there anything else I need to get all of this stuff installed? Here is what they look like:

that lq9 will sound amazing with all this ^^^

ill be doing the same thing with my 383
long tubes will go on before motor is installed (assuming itll clear)

has anyone here heard of Stamey's?
he has a machine shop right off of dundee near cypress lanes.
hes a good friend of my dads
he told me i shouldnt do the 383 stroker because of something to do with the god awefull opti
said itll cause it to act wierd or something
im gonna go sit down and talk with him saturday
but im curious what yalls opinions are?
i know the 383 is a very very popular build with the lt1's
anyone had any issues with them?
what do yall think?

I think he doesn;t know what he's talking about because the displacement of the engine has nothing to do with the timing or spark delivery fromt he opti. however, since you are doing such an in depth build and are concerned wih opti reliability, you may look at doing the lt4 conversion or the LS coil packs

but i bought the complete car for practically nothing
(now im parting it out.)
just got the motor apart last weekend
motor looked brand new inside
no scaring on any bearing or cylinder walls
NONE whatsoever
it had 124k miles on it

well there was a serious problem with scammers trolling the forum and responding to peoples wanted ads for parts, claiming they had the part etc and told them to send money to them. low and behold, there was no part and the honest forum member was out money. so now you have to have 50 posts that are relevant to the site to be able to view classifieds, or have been registered for so long

As far as the conversion
Isn't that like $1500?
Haven't really done any research or even what all it entails.

Opti doesnt useually like a lot of rpms.6000 is useually there limit.there have been people on here that have done the conversion for less than a grand.Ck in the LT1 form there is some good info.
