)**^$$%@^%*_)(+)&^(*^$&^#%#!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!

Emailed Speed Engineering yesterday afternoon (couldn't get them by phone) about my Kooks stuff. It had been 5 days since I ordered and I sat staring out the window all afternoon like a kid waiting for santa claus, waiting for the UPS truck. It didn't come!

They told me that Kooks was out of stock and was making them and it would be 1 to 1-1/2 weeks before they shipped !!!!!!!!!! Sooooooooo, I guess I will wait some more!

Everybody else doing OK this week?

Wow! That's a long day! I've been sticking close to the house today cause it's so nasty out. I did wander down to Mulberry. They are having that "Fine Swine by the Pit" this weekend. Fantastic food. All the proceeds goes to a charity. I think they picked the girls and boys club this year. Good eating, If you get the chance to go by and pick up some meals.

Default Opinion Please

Ok, after I order the Sunoco Hood, in the next few months my next move will be Heads, intake and cam. My question to you LS guru's:

The L92 heads look like they flow about 320 CFM at .600" lift and drop off at higher lifts. They are very reasonably priced ($1,200 +/-) I read that it will need a LS3 intake. When I look for throttle bodies for the LS3, it seems all of them seem to be DBW (drive by wire). I would like to stay with the cable system for the TB.

Seeing that I am not going for an all out drag engine here, but want it to set me back in the seat, am I looking at the right head / intake combo? Keep in mind that the higher the price, the more tuna sandwiches I have to eat!

basically everything that i thought i had figured out was wrong.
if i woulda went with the 383 kit that i originally wanted i woulda had like 11.9:1 compression
basically i woulda blew my stuff up lol
said i needed to start with the cam before i do anything.
so i needed to call comp cam, talk to one of their techs, and tell them exactly what im gonna do so they can set me up
(i asked him about loyd elliot and surprisingly hes never heard of him)
the guy knows his stuff tho
its quite intriguing.
but confusing lol.

Anyone in polk with 243 or 799 casting heads for a reasonable price. Sorry, wrong thread put I would rather not drive hell far like Miami or tampa for parts. Just asking. All I need is the Heads and Ls6 intake for my daily driver build.

Also, HID's I think they are tacky as **** and hate seeing them on Honda's let alone muscle cars. but I need an upgrade soon. What route should i go or you have gone and have had success with.

geting sound, proven advice about your lt1. LE is probably the top name in LT go fast parts and builds. call them and talk to them about your setup and see what they reccomend. with a 383 being a pretty common displacement upgrade for those motors, I don't see what you could have planned that would be so catastrophic. or post up here what you have and we can help you out

Any takers on giving me an opinion on the L92 heads and LS3 intake combo? I really don't know about the LS stuff like I do Gen 1. Gen 1 thinking was if I had heads for the street that flowed over 300+ CFM, I was only limited by the strength of the bottom end. Go ahead............... I'm 61, honest, you can't hurt my feelings!

LE's top end's are proven to make power with relibility.Golen has been making wicked LT1's for some time now. There the one's that did the lt firebird in GM preformance a cupple of month's ago.The heads that im having done for my lt are simmular to the le2,202,160 valves and ported, cam im on the fence with but the motor is still on the stand till i make my mind up......right....Like badhombre said that is a common build for a lt 11-1 comp is fairly common for that build. What is your hp goals for this

Dave I don’t know why we have not told you about the #1 bang for your buck with these cars. Put a nice converter in it. I know you are used to the old school set ups but these cars run very well with a little bigger converter than you would usually put in. Like I said at the track I am running about a 3800 - 4000 stall and drive it every day with no issues. I would go with an FTI-3600 converter and have fun!
