I was trying a 150 shot but I think my micro switch is going bad because it was coming out of the hole like a monster then it would surge the rest of the run.

uploading the vids now...

we still got some work to do on Mike's rear setup, but we are heading in the right direction. he cut a 1.6 60' last night and trapped 117. rear is still lifting alittle and is pulling out to the side some. I think we need to drop the pinion angle more and re-square the rear and we should be set. I got a got vid or the rear when it was leaving on one pass and you can see it roll back and lift the back of the car, and shift over to the right

I had the same thing when I ran N2O in the truck. It turned out that the ground wasn't good and the switch was acting just like I was on and off the WOT. I learned a lot the hard way on that truck and the altered about making sure I had good grounding.

One other quick question...... do you use a temperature controlled bottle heater so that your pressure stays pretty constant?

Not being nosey!!! But I had that problem once too, I wasn't launching with the same pressure every time and it was surging some.

I didn't see your name on the DH14 list. Must be a mistake or something!

So, how'd you do at the track?

Mike, listen to yours at 23 seconds. Are you lifting at the start? ...(called double stepping)

yeah. right now he's having a problem with the back end lifting on the launch and unloading the back tires. doing this gave the car a chance to start coming back down and replant the tires and then get into it with the car rolling already

It sounded like you are lifting, but it could be the engine lugging and bogging down....... it's hard to tell........ either way, it's hell on your 60' time!

Eric - Normally when the tires unload you will hear a rise in the RPMs then it will bog down when they plant. Of course I am only seeing one video and you were right there watching it.

Mike............. it's time for a 4-link!

4 link,,,,,, hmmm,,,,,,i really have thought cutting the floor pan out and kinda back halfing it.

but my suspension should be capable of doing 1.2x 60's at 8.xx 1/4 mile.. Just i gotta fight for traction i gues for a little while.

the best 60' ive gotten was a 1.51.. once it get hooking im also going to loosen my convertor up to about 4600

If you want "adjustability" you need a 4-link. Not to say there aren't some really bad *** stock suspension cars out there. It just makes it a little easier to make a change when track conditions change.

You know how light in the *** end a truck is........ without being able to adjust the instant center and "making" the weight transfer do what I wanted, I would never have been able to do the times with a 3350 lb truck and do the wheel stands that I did too!. Hell!!! there's no weight there, it was the suspension that make weight transfer happen!

I am by no means a suspension expert. I had to play and play and play with it to figure out how each move in the upper and lower links was affecting the run, but after running a bunch of times and documenting the results, I kinda had a handle on it.............. it's fun!

That cage is gonna help stiffen things up too. That will help with the frame flexing and moving the weight around on the rear end.
