Default Tires

Well, I finally got my new tires installed on the Camaro. I'm glad because after carrying them around in the back of the Expedition for two weeks, it was smelling like a tire store in there when I got in to go anywhere!

P315/35R17 Nitto NT05R's in the back and P275/40ZR17 Nitto NT555's in the front.............. Look out 10 bolt rear end!!!

Default Tell on myself!

Well, I'm going to tell on myself and tell you what I did today. I've been wanting to take the grille insert out of the camaro just to change the looks of it. I have seen many pictures of others without the insert and liked it. So over the last while I have been looking on here to see how to get the insert off without tearing the whole front off the car. I read that if you get a good hold on each side of it and give it one hell of a jerk it will come loose and then you do the same thing to the top and it will break off the plastic holder clips.

Cool, sounds easy! Soooooooooo, I get my big fat *** all crouched down and braced and grab hold of the two edges of the grille insert and snatched it as hard as I could. There was absolutely no resistance whatsoever, I fell back, tripped over the cement tire stop in front of the car, rolled around in the dirt and grass with the insert in my hands.! Apparently the guy who had the car before me had already done this and put the insert back in by just sticking it in the holes with some sort of silicone putty!

I mean I busted my *** good! Well, after I scraped myself off the ground and looked around to see how many people saw me bust my ***, I went into the house, completely satisfied that now my insert is out!

I have it and I told you I would hold it for you. It's in my racing trailer and I don't have to feed it so it isn't hurting a thing.
Whenever you get ready for it just holler and we'll get together.

Default Wheels

Well, I've got my wheels ordered today, should be here Wednesday or Thursday. I got the 9" for the front and 10.5" for the back. Torq Thrust M, in black. I wanted 11" but couldn't find them in this wheel.

I will sell the ZR1 replicas once I get these mounted they are 9" and 11" wide.

not sure how many of you on here knew him or have heard, but a friend of mine and employee at the lakeland dragstrip was killed in a car accident leaving the track saturday night. Carlos was the tech advisor and has been running the e.t. shack lately, so if you've run there in the last 6 months or so, you've seen him. his 'fro and smile were impossible to miss. there will be a memorial race on friday the 18th that will be donation based. donations will go to his fiance and 2 children

That's a great idea, I hope there is a lot of support for this!!! It's always sad when a young family man leaves this place unexpectedly. Sad for the family, sad for the friends and a huge waste of a young life!

We are changing the converter in the car so it is back down but I will attend that race on the bike with a donation to his family and children. RIP.
