Default Need a little help guys?

My dad has a nice 1995 4x4 Bronco 5.0L auto, he says the motor will shut off for no reason when driving and start right back up and sometimes it takes about 5-min or so to re-start this does not happen often only every few months also in the mornings when you go to start it sometimes it will just turn over and not fire when you let the key off to restart it it will fire right up. I have looked at it a few time over the last year and can’t find anything wrong and it has never done it with me driving so I always tell him he's crazy. I recently replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter and air flow meter for other reasons and the truck runs great now. I was driving it today and finally about 50mph or so the motor just shut off nothing else I still had the radio and all electrical just the motor and it re-started by its self about 4sec later and seem to be fin again.

WHAT could it be???? I think I am going to replace the crank trigger position sensor this weekend because that is what fixed my Camaro when it did almost the same thing any other suggestions would be great.

Greg, 95 should still have a distributor. I'd check the rotor button and such in it. it's hard to diagnose an inconsistent problem because it could be months before you know if you fixed it or not, and hard to test it when it does because it usually does it when you aren't prepared for it

Ya it does not have a crank shaft sensor, I did not think about it long enough. LOL. I’m going to change the ignition module maybe the cap and rotor and see if it does it again.

I am thinking about going back to a M/T ET Street type tire would any of you be interested in an almost new set of M/T DR 295-55-15 if I was going to sell them? And what are your thoughts on going back to the ET Street? I have not made my mind up yet and the main thing I am thinking about is not braking all the time in hopes the ET Streets will hit a little softer.

those tires broke your car again? man... from my experience with et streeets they weren't real comfortable for street driving. but the set I was on were the standard bias ply wrinkle walls, not the new et streets

How much? I don't know how much longer my tires have left. Considering I never drive it, they might last forever : (

How much work is it to fab up some Procharger piping? These kit prices are crazy, the headunit is ONLY $2600-2700. I'm starting to look around at the forums again.
