I didn't take that shot. ; )

Mike told me to grab a shot of your car, then we looked over and it was on the trailer already. Next time definitely!

Well, got an update from the TX Mile today...

The Magnum that was at MileMarker-1 went 189.7 at the texas mile today, with NO changes from the way it was set up here. So, it does appear the numbers were off by quite a bit as he only recorded 177 in Miami.

We'll be using TAG Heuer for the next event.

'The Swamp' on our event day was over 105 degrees if you factor in the humidity. I would like to see the difference on a 50 degree day.

Finally made it down to the Everglades this weekend to try the mile. There was a strong headwind of 20+mph which probably held everyones mph down. My new car is a stock 09 so I knew my times would be conservative. Best run was 172mph. My other 2 runs were 169.9 & 171 My buddys stock ZO6 ran a 166mph and a modded ZO6 ran at 173.

Track conditions were great it was just the wind that was not cooperating. 2 Porsches ran in the 190's and my buddy Randle had high time for the day at 197.

What was the highest mph anyone did back in Oct?

Was this the Top Gun run you attended? Would have thought there were some faster cars there....in October there were several cars over 200 MPH, with a TT GT and a 911 both going 216 on radar.

It was a Top Gun event organized by IvanHo from the S. Florida Viper club.

We had one Porsche that ran 228 in Texas last month and could not break 190 because of traction issues. We had a Lambo hit a higer number before the end of the mile but his rev limiter kept bringing his speed down until he hit the mile. It was not smooth at all and they found a sensor after some research. That was a DLM car and lucky for Randle that Doug was there to assist him.

Doug Levin ran 205mph with his girlfriend in his car at the last event. This time he came just to help out his customers and didn't run anything. Wish I would have been able to come last month but Ivan has another one planned in February and it should be even better.
