Default Need help with wheel locks

Does anybody have a Boyd Coddington lug nut socket. They are a rounded star pattern and the socket would fit inside the lug nut. I don't have any pictures of them. I bought these wheels and tires from a guy, but I wanted 2 tires from these Boyd wheels, problem is we can't unbolt the wheels from the axle. If anyone out there has one I could borrow, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Last time I needed an oddball wheel lock socket,I made an impression of it with playdoh and matched it up with that.

Unfortunately that is not it. The star pattern is actually 10 "points" and the socket would need to fit inside. It's a wierd lock. I've never seen one like it. But thanks for the help anyways.

another choice is to use the Snapon universal socket.
It will scar the nut tho.

It looks like this lug nut, except it is rounded, rather than pointed.

I had to do that to a big brake Brembo hub and wheel I got from a JY. The guy broke 2 snapon universal nut sockets trying to get it off. I took it home, welded a 1/2inch nut on it and bam impact buzzed it right off.
The wheel got some sparks on it but who cares,it was broken anyway.

I used to work at a wheel and tire store ... take a reg ole socket that is lil bigger ( might want to use a cheap brand for this) and hammer it over it till it wont slip and just remove it that way works great did it many times.

^ Zing, winner!

When I bought my Formula there were four different kinds of lug nuts on it. Three of those kinds were different locking lugnuts. All you need is a slightly smaller socket, hammer, a bench vise, and a screw driver.

Hopefully I can try all of these suggestions tomorrow. It sucks that all of the lug nuts are the same one. It would be a pain in the *** to steal these rims!
