Default A/C Recharge Help

Anybody in Longwood/Altamonte Springs/Lake Mary/ Maitland areas have A/C Recharge guages and know how to recharge an A/C (99 Z28)? Anyone want to help do it for beer and/or little cash? I can't really afford to take it anywhere. My A/C needs a recharge bad as it is only blowing cool instead of cold air now and it is hot as BALLLLLLSSSS everyday, especically when I have to wear long sleeve shirt and pants to work. Thanks for any takers.

I have the gauges and a vacuum pump.

Do you know where the system is leaking at? Is the compressor leaking oil?

I think it is just a really slow leak. I've had the car over 2 years and just gradually over time it has gotten less cold. If there is a bad leak I am unaware.

yes, the prices of r134a are high now, walmart seems to have the best price, followed by carquest based on what I have found.

I should have stocked up last year at $6.77 a can.

Can someone please show me in pics or describe where the low side valve for an AC recharge is on an ls1 motor ASAP please? Thanks a ton. I see a valve on the evaporator and one near the radiator. I don't know which one is low side or if it is neither.

I used the one on the accumulator. Seemed to work, we'll see how long it lasts, hopefully a long time.
