Anyone? I put almost 22k miles on my truck last year and its killing me to add the miles up that fast on a truck this new. So was looking for a cheap DD just to run down the interstate with.
2000 V6 camaro 3.8 5speed. Hardtop (panited). 9/10 body and 9/10 interior. No power options. Cloth. 2 owner. but does have 165k miles. Needs windshield wiper PCM (which i think i have an extra). Cold A/C $1500 bones...
thoughts? stay away
Not planning on modding it or anything. Through a set of 10 spokes i have laying around and call it a day.

I had one in That I got in 02 that had 50k to 90k in 05 when we traded it for a truck but that thing lasted some punishment n only needed an alternator. Very good engine.

Very durable engines as long as you make sure the intake gaskets are good, and the coolant elbows aren't broken. Mine has 180k miles on it and runs fine. Its not that quick, but its not bad. Look for a y87 one if you can, lsd rear, quicker steering, and so on.

what 3.8 said.. i had a 97 5 speed car and got 25-26 mpg all the time, and i have a heavy foot.. there is a 97 here in sebring for sale at 2200 in my neighborhood, look up heartland craigslist.. car is fairly clean, ive seen it, if ur interested, i can check it over.. y87 cars are def more desirable.. but, part swaps are not hard...

The L67 on my Buick Regal was still running good at 100K and the L32 on my Grand Prix was running good until I had leaky coolant elbows. They were both poorly maintained on my part too.

We've have put over 100K miles on our daily 3.8 since 1st owner. Only thing I have done other then change fluids is intake gaskets and a new heater hose in 7 years. I'd say a great daily. I just wish it was 5spd.
