Default Cocky Co-Worker gets smacked around at the track

So, I start talking with a co-worker about cars and it eventually ends with a callout and a race at the track.......... He starts popping off at the mouth about his AWD turbo car that can hang with stock V8 RWD cars. I proceed to tell him that I have a stock motor RWD V8 car that he can't begin to hang with. I was ready to just run him on motor and prove my point. However, he continued to yap yap yap. You know the type I'm talking about. They talk and talk and talk, yet they don't know what the fug they're talking about. They know enough to impress the people that don't know anything, however, it's just the info they've read about it. He continued to gain more confidence as he ran his mouth in front of his peers. I just sat back and watched the show. Quietly. He continued to talk about the superior AWD car.

At this point, I had enough and let him know I was going to turn the bottle on and put 'multiple' bus lengths on him. He proceeded to say that I wouldn't be able to get traction on the bottle and it would work to his advantage. There was No Way I would put multiple bus lengths on him. Yes, I might beat him on the bottle, but not by that much.

I let him set all the 'rules'... Had to drive to work and then the track. (100+ miles round trip). I wasn't allowed to change my tires. And I had to put more than 2 bus lengths on him that is easily noticeable in video.

Little did he know what he was getting in to...

Here we are at work:

We agreed to run 3 times ahead of time.

Round 1. He misses fourth. (It wouldn't have mattered anyway)

Round 2. I red light. Uh oh. 1-1 now...

At this point he starts to realize he's bitten off way more than he can chew and he's going to be eating some crow in the morning. I let him know that I'll sit at the line for 1.5 seconds after green before I leave and I'll still put bus lengths on him. You would have thought he would have already learned his lesson. But again, got the... No Way will that happen speech. (My reaction time ending up being 1.8 sec before I left) Enjoy!

I loved the smoke plume that passes forward in the 3rd video as you pulled up to the staging line. I bet he was shitting himself.

Your car sounds cammed FWIW.

Really? Sounds cammed? I think you're just hearing loud exhaust at WOT. She's never been opened up.

And as you all can imagine... what happened when we were both back to work??

I got the passing head nod while eyes stayed plastered to the floor.

Talking smack isn't my thing so I had no need to rub it in his face.... I just walked around to all his friends and showed them the videos. I allowed them to do all the smack talking needed. I didn't have to say a word. Mission accomplished.

Here's the funny part. The majority of the debate was around AWD vs RWD and the application of traction.

I am no newb to the track. And I know my car very well. We were racing on a Thursday night Test n Tune night. Of which, the track prep is not the best. And, there are typically a lot of street cars there ripping up the little bit of prep that is completed. So, I already knew I was going to have to watch launching full tilt.

Very easy thing to do with nitrous cars. It's called a 'delay'. Amazing concept I know. All I did was change the MSD Window Switch activation pill. I put in a 4000 rpm pill. Therefore, I was actually just launching on motor (I was going 1.7 60' times compared to his 1.9 60' times). However, about the 50-60' mark is where my car hits 4000 rpm (I have a pretty tight nitrous converter that pulls the motor down). Go back and watch the first two videos. You can actually hear the car launch then slightly afterwards it gets a lot louder. Bingo! Nitrous activated.

I knew that I could leave off the line easy and still blow by him. I didn't want to launch on the spray and risk spinning. I still would have crushed him, but not to the extent shown in the video.

The next week I went on a Runday Sunday (well prepped track with big tire cars running) and went 1.45 60' and 10.79 @ 124. I put the 3100 pill back in and activated upon launch
