Dyno shops with LS1 edit
Does anyone know any shops around the panhandle area-Panama City-Destin that do dyno testing and LS1 edit? If so, are they reputable.

basically after talking to mike and sending him emails i got tired of him not calling me back or returning emails 2 months later...i forget what i had asked by then...dino at revX answered all my emails and talked to me on the phone when i called...i called norris and he was supposed to call me back after he got done with a customer...so i get a phone call the next day at like 3pm...then he said i'll call you back with an estimate..i'm still waiting (it's been over a month) well i guess i'm not really waiting but you know what i mean...prices don't make the business it's the customer service...i would gladly pay 50$ extra for a tune for people i know at least act like they care...with that being said i've "heard" mike does great work (pricey)...i just won't be going there...

777,
I do admit I and the shop get overwhelmed and behind at times for sure. We susually have 17-22 cars at the shop and I am the one to blame as far as e-mails and calls go. There are times I do not see my e-mails for 2 weeks and at times more. Phone calls can be the same way at times. Go to make a call, phone rings, get distracted, customer comes in, have to run to the shop and tune a car. Next thing you know its 7PM and the family wants a little time. Not making excuses, just stating how things can go when you are the owner, salesman, tuner and one of the installers. Out of 100 calls and 50 e-mails daily, 95% of them are for me and some get missed. Some get called twice as I get scatterbrained at times. No rhyme or reason, just happens. I try to do my best and thats the best I can offer.
With that said, I apologize for not getting back to you and I would feel the same way if I was in your shoes. Hope it all works out for you. Later.

I REALLY do appreciate the apolgies...i understand business can get overwhelming but it still seems kind of crazy that you wouldn't return a phone call...i mean you seem like a really nice guy when i talked to you...i just don't know if i could deal with maybe getting a phone call back or wondering if my stuff will get done on time...your shop seems top notch and i'm not going to "bash" you or your company...just being young you always get left out because people don't really pay any attention to your needs because usually we don't have any money...i guess it just bothers me sometimes...i like how you don't make excuses though that says a lot about you...that's pretty respectable in my book...

If you think me not calling you back is crazy, you should try to run one of these shops My biggest problem is delegation and I have to have my hand in every aspect of the business. No matter how much I have other folks doing (7 full time employees besides myself) I never have enough time for everyone or everything.
I know you were not bashing and appreciate that, just giving out info and your opinion. And do not take the no call back as personal at all, just an oops on my part. Thanks again and good luck to you.

Mike, do you know Glenn Self?
I believe he sent you my Computer from my LT1 a few years ago for a High Level tune...He is in Durant, OK...I know it went somewhere in FL...let me know.
BTW, I am still looking for a shop in the Panhandle area of FL. I will be going to the Orlando/Tampa areas in late May maybe June, I may hold off till then.

02transhawk,
The name does not ring a bell and we do not do LT1 mail order tunes, much less any mail order tunes. We prefer to do the tune in house on the dyno.
If you need to come on down, just let me know and we will set an appointment. We get a lot of folks down here from LA (lower Alabama) and the panhandle for sure.
