Hi Guys's I know I am new to this board but I just wanted to stop on and drop a line regarding a meet we are having in Aprl for FL High HP cars. All automotive enthusiasts are welcome. So far we already have close to 20+ cars and we posted this event yesterday. I look forward to meeting everyone!
What:
2005 Spring Supra BBQ, Show & Shine, and South Florida Driving Tour.
Where:
Lake Ida Park
2929 Lake Ida Rd
Delray Beach, FL
See Directions Below - DO NOT use MapQuest/Yahoo as they are wrong.
The spot we have reserved can hold about 60+ cars and there is plenty of areas to toss around some ***** (away from the cars). The park is right on a large Lake and there is a nice photo spot available by the boat ramps. Depending on the number of cars we have we may cruise over to a warehouse area for some nite shots which we used for the above image.
When:
Saturday April 2nd, 2005 - BBQ 1PM – Dusk followed by a driving tour of South Florida including plenty of areas for spirited driving.
Why:
To bring together the Florida Supra and high horsepower communities. This event falls in the middle of the BFGoodrich Spring Nationals at Moroso Motorsports Park so this is a great time to meet other owners from all over the state.
Who:
All High Horsepower Owners & Enthusiasts: Supra, Corvette, RX7, Viper. We want as many of high horsepower cars as possible.
Cost:
$10 per person to cover the costs of the food (Burgers, Hotdogs, Salads, Etc), soda, and charcoal. Feel free to bring you own beer, wine, etc.
Directions:
From I95:
Take I95 to Atlantic Ave Exit 52.
Go west on Atlantic Ave to Congress Ave
Make a Right and go North on Congress Ave.
Make a Right on Lake Idea Road.
After you cross back under 95 the park entrance is on your left.
Follow The Park Road to the Last Lot/Pavilion
From the Turnpike:
Take the Turnpike to Atlantic Ave / Delray Beach Exit
Go East on Atlantic Ave to Congross Ave
Make a Left and go North on Congress Ave.
Make a Right on Lake Idea Road.
After you cross under 95 the park entrance is on your left.
Follow The Park Road to the Last Lot/Pavilion

Well, if you bothered inviting F-Body owners after posting this on an F-Body specific site, you might get more interest...curious how Vettes got into the picture when it's an import show? Kinda' like water and oil, no?

Hi Guys! Like I mentioned before ALL sports cars are welcome. We are not limiting it to just supra's Myself and my roommate dan, are supra owners, so thats what we designed first but any and all are invited and welcomed!
In regards to the vette in the picture that was taking with my daily, my roommate's supra, my brothers' vette, and my other roommates RX7. Just thought it was a cool picture to use.
I appologize if I offended any by not inviting all the Fbody owners but please do come. It will be a good time.

Let me know if you have any questions we have cars coming from a bunch of different forums so this will get me a rough idea of how much food and provisions we need.
Thanks,
Greg
