Default Michigan boys coming to test...help us out!

We are bringing down a 99 cobra (stock suspension blower car) and my 94z (twin turbo ls1 stock suspension) and we trying to figure out where we should go to test. Also, we want to line up a chassis guy to help us dial our stuff in at the track on like a Friday and then go back again on Sat before returning home on Sunday.

We would also like to know about any local motels to the tracks as well as maybe a nearby shop that would be willing to let us store the cars inside on fri/sat nights so we don't have to leave them out at some motel or whatever. We will be bringing like 4-5 other friends (all mid to early 20's guys) and we've never done this so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any suggestions, thoughts, concerns will be appreciated. We would probably be coming like the 2nd or 3rd week of december since most of us have it off from work anyways.

Thanks!

look up rev extreme if you need any tuning, ask for jeremy. The tampa area seems like it is the place to be in florida right now.

Not engine tuning...chassis tuning. To get these slugs down the track. Any ideas? Tracks?

Bradenton is an excellent track to rent and as said if you went there Rev Extreme would probably work something out with you as far as storage for the cars but I dont know of any chassis guys in Tampa being that I`m in Orlando. You`ll probably have a hard time getting Bradenton because this is there busy time for rentals, we have Dec 17 rented for an LS1 club race.
You would most likely be able to rent Orlando Speedworld and they usually prep good for private rentals( some call it spinworld) it is a good track when they prep it. You might call Mike Norris at Next Level Perf (407-869-7223) about storing your cars and he could probably get you in touch with Tim Takash about onsite suspension tuning. I will talk to Randy( Orlando track owner) and get a phone # and possibly a few other suspension guys to contact if you would like.

call revxtreme and talk with Dino. they are ----> We have a good group of guys at the shop and prob can show you to the local scene if you want. I would say BMP would be your best track for the 1/4 but I would call to make sure when they are open for you to run. Shoot me a pm or go to revextreme.com and go to the forums section. I would post up there that you are going to be in town. Hope to see your cars run.

I'm just wondering what you have to dial in on a "Stock Suspension" car or two of them for that matter?

Stock style...it still requires getting the antiroll bar right, shocks right, limiters, etc. Lots of stuff even on stock style.

Both <10.0 cars.

You have Moroso in Palm Beach Gardens and Chassis Engineering in Riviera Beach.

Moroso can be a great track when they decide to prep it. It's usually very good on slicks only and Quick 16 nights. They don't really bother to prep it hardly with all the kids and street cars on most T&T nights.

It's no wonder why we rent Bradenton once a year!

813-628-0080 for Rev Xtreme. They are a sponsor here. Just ask for Dino. He may even be able to set you up with a suspension specialist.

if you are coming down, the only tracks to consider are BMP and Gainesville with a powerful stock suspension car.

If you guys still need help, just let me know. You can rent OSW and I can get you in contact there, you can store the car here and I can do my best with the suspension. Takash may be able to help also, but may need to take it to his shop and first set cross wieghts. We will be closed for the holidays 12/24 thru 1/2/05 just as an FYI.

Well I just learned I need to swap out my comp lifters for some morels since the comps are the old problematic style so the trip might have to be post-poned until my spring break in February. We still want to get there to test before opening day up here.
