HUGE fan of directv here. the cable co here in jax treats you like they are the only game in town. their customer service is the worst. i had a cable guy come to my house, knock on my door and tell me that he knew i had boot-leg cable. he said that 3 services were supposed to be running off the main at the pole, they had a reading of 4 and i was the only one not using their service that had a line running to my house. i have to tell you that from that point on the whole conversation went down hill for him. plus the nfl sunday ticket is the bomb!!!

I have had both and ... DirecTV wins out by a length and a half. Cable will cause you grief with their never ending rate increases - not so with DirecTV. About storms, I get the puzzle look and bits drop out on cable as they did occasionally with satellite. Remember when they tell you about the storm and weather BS, that cable comes down from a satellite to a dish, too, and is affected by storms.

DirecTV is the best. Had it, now have cable, miss it dearly.

Ditto....I dont know about *** because we dont have them here, but I cant stand bellsouth. They are always messing up my bill. I am about to move and will be getting digial cable again (adelphia)!

When it rains, there is a good chance that your direct tv will not work. I can't stand when it goes out just because of a bad cloud in the sky!! Then again, I guess it depends where you live...I'm sure not everyone has this problem, just my issue with it.

I'm sure whatever you pick, you will have a problem with lol....They all like to screw us! haha
