thanks for the help! I am open to offers. Josh and his dad over at J&J Motorsports did the MSD work for me..FWIW I would recommend them for any kind of work...good people and fair! I am going to have them install a cage for me in my 73 when the time comes.
Thanks!
Mike

I'd wager to bet the $3500 cars don't look like this one.

That would be a smart wager on your part. I looked at about ten LT1 cars in a three moth period. Most of those in the $3500 range were either pretty ragged out or had some glaring defects.

Yes, it is a very nice car...not 100% or 100 point perfect but well worth more than 3500. I bought it from the original owner (late 50's couple) and they had a 66 vette and 65 cobra in the garage. That alone told me they took care of it (bedsides appearance). I wanted a silver T/A also and this one had alot of options. Heack I even have all the dealer paperwork and even the QC sheets from Canada!
Car has always been garaged up until about 2-3 months ago and was always and still is serviced on time. Original paint on it and I put the new nose cover so the rocks from the highway wouldnt beat it up.
I put new tires on it about 3 months ago (have receipt), msd coil and wires, flushed cooling system, and serviced the rear.
Car had new a/c, new opti, and new water pump at around 108-110K.
New brakes, rotors, etc on the front at around 115K.
I have all the receipts for these too.
It will need a hatch latch (motor pooped on me) and the lumbar fixed on the drivers side. Really car just needs a good cleaning and detailing.
Car has never been raced but it will move. Fun to drive on the street.
I have more than 5200 into it and would be taking a pretty good loss since it needed a tune up and I had to put tires on it.
Twins are due in November, we are planning to move ASAP, and I now have a drag car again so she needs a good home. I know people here would treat it right and take care of it.
Thanks

WOW!!! im in no way saying it isnt worth that much but im sure he has seen what im talking about. Im from lakeland originally i bought my LT1 in Faboulous shap in 2003 for 3600 with only 105,000 on it. Now i dont even drive it cuz im working on it or i would take pics. Not one dent and interior was clean. Didnt have a single problem with my car. My dad almost bought my little bro a 95 LT1 2 months ago with 102 on the clock for 3200. Im just stating my OPINION!!!!!! I said good luck and hope he gets what he deserves. I in no way shape or form said he did not deserve that. In lakeland TRUCKS are what everyone buy. Geeesshhh!

Maybe you shouldn't have said anything at all.
I'd like to come look at it possibly this weekend, does the paint under the bra look good? I'll give you a call sometime and check it out. Tim.

Tim,
I should be home late on Saturday and should be there all day on Sunday. The paint under the bra is fine. I put it on there so the stupid sand and rock trucks wouldnt destroy it. I travel I-4 every day to Tampa so I didnt want the paint messed up.
I think I met you before...you had a block for sale at one point and a 70? El Camino in the garage..
Anyway, I will PM my cell # to you.
BTW, the stupid SES light came on the other day.....autozone said a misfire and EGR malfunction......alot of people are telling me it may be a dirty injector causing both. I was told to seafoam the car and the light should go off. All of the wires, coil, etc are new and you cant see or hear any arcing or misfire. I drive it every day and it runs fine, no problems (70 miles round trip).
I will take $5000 cash for it as it is. I just cant go any lower than that. Losing my butt already. Need the money to buy a van before our twins get here. If anyone is interested, we can take a ride in it.
Thanks!
Mike

no the block was for another project that went no where so I sold it and bought the 73.....motor is already built in this one.
I should be around, plan to wash it up and give it some cleaning anyway. Thanks! Mike
