There aren't any sponsors in Fla that I can think of that port heads.
Walt does a good job. I am a big fan of TEA at 330-784-5210 they are a sponsor here.
They do great work at a fare price.

WALT in Tampa i think is your best bet!!! I know of 2 cars that made over 430 to the tires with heads ported by him and when he told them what power to expect, he was with-in 10-20HP. One of the cars is a LT1 with stock ported castings the other was a LS1 stock castings ported made 460 to the tires. I just bought LS6 heads done by him and will be putting them on in the next couple of weeks was told to expect 440-460 with my set-up. I think he is one of the best in tampa!! Hope this helps.

There's a place in Pinellas Park which ports stock LS1/6 heads and have been around for years. They're not a sponsor but if you PM me I'll give you the info.

Funny i didnt say he's the BEST, i just think hes one of the best in the area. What else is funny is that you have never heard of him, your loss.

Anyway, bang for your buck he will port your heads for under 500 and they WILL perform!!

must not be all that good. Never heard one word about him. Is he an "out of his garage" porter or part of a shop? Trust me, it not my loss

Eddie Garlits has always done good work for us the last 15 years. He is currently massaging up some big chiefs for my buddy's 632 in his 68 camaro. His old baretta he used to have had a 565 and it and it went from 5 teens to consistent 4.85-4.90's in the 1/4 after all the head work. He also did some mild work for his LT heads. Good luck on whoever you choose.

carl i have heard AND seen the results of Walt's heads. its not bad at all for th emoney. i wouldnt put the results with the likes of a great stage 2 TEA or ET ported heads but still for less than half the money, its a great buy.

i know ted's camaro here in tampa made 430 rwhp with ls1 intake, walt's ls1 ported heads with stock valves and F13 cam. IMO that is solid and will run with the best of any stage one stock valve combos. fernando has built a few veh's with walt's heads, his truck included. i know they put a Trex z06 that made 460 rwhp as well.

ofcourse other porters include Pete @ CNC heads (which he sold the name of the company but still ports heads). also i am pretty sure Felber stoped porting ls1 heads a while ago. he only did a few set and didnt have great results. he is sticking with his bad *** BBC and SBC.

his heads are not known on the internet but for a bargain head, flat out work
