Ceta
CETA mod is done in Satin Black. The Longwood Courtesy Pontiac Collision Center has really come a long way in the past 2 years ... did an absolutely perfect paint job. I'll post up some pics this weekend ... really made a big difference in the look of the car ... moreso that i thought it would ... very pleased with it.

They had to take off the rear bumper cover to paint it anyway, so, they only charged me $128.00 for paint, materials, and preparation ... don't think it could have been done any cheaper ... guaranteed, baked, and perfect work.
DirtyBird ... whatcha' mean you're biased on the red/black scheme on TA's ... you had the same thing and loved all the compliments you got on it before yours was totalled, right? Why r u biased now?
Now, for the big question ... since I'm getting offers for cheap paintjobs ... who is willing to prep/paint my U.S. Exotics fiberglass WS9 hood and guarantee the paint to be perfect for 3 years? Any takers? Should be a 2-3 day turnaround ... baked and sealed, right? Considering offers starting now.

No. Must've been somebody else. I work in Lake Mary. You can tell my car. It's the only one you'll likely ever see with AFS black-chrome ZR-1's. Thanks for the comment my friend.
Now, if I can just get some of these folks who say they can paint so cheap and so fast to step forward and make the same offer on my hood.
Ryan, thanks for the comment man ... very happy with the work ... and also with the work you did for me.

I don't think you're going to get many shadetree painters for your hood, LOL. The CETA mod is a little more forgiving as it's down low and more importantly not glossy. The hood is definitely harder to paint - any imperfection will be seen in the light and it has to be matched or blended with the fenders.
Good luck either way!

Yeah, I figure about 7-8 hours of time blocking and finishing. It's been on the car for 7 months in the hot Florida sun. Hardly any imperfections like I have seen with other aftermarket hoods. It's layered fiberglass ... not the cheap-*** chopped fiberglass. Looks like Burkhart Corvettes will get the $700-$1000 it will cost to paint it. Thing is, the paint has been cared for immaculately and the rear bumper cover was painted with the original factory color and matches perfectly, so, the paint is not faded one bit and likely will not have to be painted down into the fenders to match the rest of the car.

my dad taught me a lot his old trade in painting. I could paint your hood but I don't know how long it would last lol, it also might end up on my car
my dad however can paint it, seal it, ect. we just can't "bake" it. with the heat in florida lately, after the paint has dried leaving it outside on a couple clear days would do the trick. letting the paint cure and getting it properly treated after it has cured will also help in the longevity of the paint. my dad painted my first car for me when i was 15 and it went through 3 rough years of me beating the **** out of it and the paint still held up minus a crazy bitch keying it.
and me saying i was biased, i meant that i love it because i had the same setup!

Hey John!!!
I'm going with a progrsssively controlled 300 shot, but, it's a ways off yet ... first I have to upgrade the fuel pump and lines that will handle that big a shot ... plus looking at 60# injectors. The 30# SVO's are only rated at 37#'s. Stand-alone fuel cell, as well. I figured in the long run I could keep the seats and comfort items and not look like an all-out race car on the street ... it's a simple daily driver ... LOL!
