Moving to Florida on monday! Whats going on next week I posted before that I was planning on moving to Gainesville. Well the day is almost here. Anyway, I was wondering if anything is going on next week? I am sure after I do some shopping, I might be bored since the only person I know in Gainesville is my roomate. I look forward to meeting some new fbody people!

I'm a student at UF -- but right now I'm in Tampa doing an internship. Gainesville should be getting busy again with classes starting back up in a couple of weeks.
My suggestion -- go to Copper Monkey (on University Ave across from campus) on Wednesday night. $4 Pitchers of Yuengling and its ladies night

I just loaded up the car for the drive. Its completely full and I have like 0 visibility
Plus no AC with a 17 hour drive for the loss. Windows down the whole way there

It's not too much of a fun drive if your coming from Oklahoma especially with no a/c and going through Texas, if that's the route your taking.
I moved down here to "God's waiting room" back in 03 and love it here but I'm in P'Cola. I've visited some of the guys in G'ville and central Florida and everyone for the most part are cool and friendly like JEB99TA stated.

Recently, (from what I've heard) Ale House meets have been hot with Law Enforcement due to drama with a local Film Company and some street racing allegations. The meets are usually hit or miss (they'll be more busy once classes start back up), but my suggestion is to not follow them when they "go for a drive" after the meet.

Like everyone else was saying only real weekly thing going on is the Thursday night meets at Ale House. This Saturday Gainesville Street Rods will be having their car show over at the publix on 39th near the interstate exit. Its usually a good mix of late and older domestic cars. They meet the 2nd Saturday of every month.
I'm also in a car club here that has steadily become more popular. We just did a cruise up to high springs last night. Its mainly late model muscle cars.

Well I made it in last night around 12:00. It wasnt really smooth sailing either. I spent the better part of the day stuck in the middle of nowhere Alabama when my alt went out on me. turns out one of the wires had been resting on the header and it melted. But I am finally here and busy today buying things and moving in. But if you guys do anything this week or want to meet up let me know!!
