Thanks for all the positive comments. I figured maybe a troll or two would come in to stir up trouble, but, it hasn't happened ... lots of thanks to everyone who commented.

Jeb, I really like the hood! The stripes really make it look good... who did you get to paint it? I'm looking to do my whole car, including the non matching SLP hood I've got... they look like they really do a great job!

Thanks Steve .... maybe I'll see you at the racetrack this Wednesday? How you coming along on the project?

BucFan55 ... believe it or not, Bill Heard Collision Center painted it for $599.00 and it's turned out flawless ... clearcoated and the works. Talk to Scott Plantz. He'll do you right and he told be the paint is guaranteed for life.

JEB99TA I swear I ran into you one early morning back when I had my mustang a green 06 GT. If you remember it was about 6am at the I-4 off-ramp at 46-A and we both were heading towards heathrow and I believe you put my tail between my legs that morning. Don't know if you remember but I sure do. The change was definitly for the better.

Yeah, I'd say that was me because that's the way I go to work. I work just accross the bridge. Thanks for the comment. I didn't know how much happier I'd be with the hood painted. That solid black was making me feel really riced-out!

Good seeing you here. Flag me down if you see me again and have time to shoot the bull for a few.

Jeb, great looking car. I saw this thread yesterday and liked the car and then I saw it parked at a restaurant in Lake Mary today. It looks even better in person. I don't know if you saw my car sitting there, it was the 97 Silver Firehawk (that was filthy unfortunately). Let me know if you guys are going to meet up or do any cruises.

Thanks fellows. Nice to know all the money saved and spent was worthwhile. I saw the FireHawk. My son drove over from Daytona and met me there for dinner. I asked him if he saw the silver FireHawk when he pulled up, but, you apparently had pulled out already. Saw the Black T/A, as well. Looking good brother ... glad you got back into a bird after your accident.

Hope to see a few of you at Bithlo tomorrow night if the weather holds ... lookin' good for now.

Call me on the Wednesday thing, I have been fighting the daily driver fight, and do the travel thing for work, I was at Holloman last week and Dryden last month, but I now have a car payment again, so the 68's on hold till the cooler weather, I'll esplain more when I see you next,

They sucked ... 12's next time I go out, easy 11's ... with MT DR's ... gotta' get me a pair of drag wheels with some MT's. Never will I try to launch on Nitto's again. Dude, I did like and 8-second burnout and it looked like cigarette smoke ... LOL!

I guess it's not too bad for the first time I ever ran. I back up to the water box and did my burnout. Launched and it was like I was sititng in a puddle of oil. I had to pull my foot out of the pedal and re-launch ofter I stopped spinning. Car's easy mid-11's with a good 60' time ... my 60 foot time was like 2.1xx.

Not bad, you need to go after a quick 32 night or after they've prepped the track
