Don't worry about it too much man. You have 2 things working against hitting 12's. Nittos and Florida weather.
My car is cammed, makes 382 whp and I can only manage 12.4@110MPH.
Like others said,wait till the weather gets better and you'll get better times. Also, you have to heat them Nittos real good to get anything decent out of them. Remember, Nittos are the worse of the DR family as far as stickiness goes at the track.

Ivan, when i ran 11's with your car it was in like 40 degree weather. LOL. Chicago Fall Weather ***!
60'/heat/humidity killing you. I ran 12.36@112.45 a few days ago up in Gainesville. But that was on a 1.909 60' and through an auto. You need more seat time and maybe feather the clutch some more. Nittos AREN'T that bad of a tire.....you just can't expect to punch it and go without spinning. For a bolt on car nittos should be plenty. You just need to learn how to launch on them.
