Moving to FL. Are Smog laws strict?

Hey I'm moving to Cocoa Beach and just wondering if the smog laws in Florida are strict because I'm running no cats but I have no check engine lights on or anything...

What are smog laws

They don't even have vehicle inspection here. Floridas idea of vehicle inspection is a cop will pull you over and give you a ticket if they think theres something wrong with your car.
A friend of mine got pulled over (by a female cop) for a stinky muffler.
He had xx days to bring an invoice from a shop to the police dept saying it was fixed.
