Anyone else hate florida for making them need a dash cover?

I had a tiny crack by the defroster like mentioned in here.
Then I decided I wanted to do blue LED's in the gauge cluster, yeah the dash pad cracked in three huge pieces. I haven't got a cover, it just sits like that, all cracked to ****.(Way to go GM engineers! It couldn't be like LS1 cars where they don't have to pull bolts under the dash pad, oh no!) I'll replace it when I have a garage to park in, same deal with the clear coat coming off all over the car, can't justify fixing it til I have somewhere nice to park it.

hm I'm considering using a window blocker thing instead, but I would hate to have spent $65 on a custom molded dash cover and then not use it. Would anyone want to buy it for $50?
