Default Anyone else hate florida for making them need a dash cover?

I got a coverking molded dash cover, it was like $65 or so. My dash is in real nice shape and I want to keep it that way so I bought the cover. I hate the way it looks, but I don't want a suncracked dash, but then again what good is a nice dash if I can't see it. The cover is decent for what it costs, I just hate dash covers. My monte has a plastic molded dash cover which I like way more, but I don't think they make for camaros. So what do you FL guys do with your cars dash covers or no dash covers?

My dash was already cracked to hell so I threw a cover on it, it was painful to look at.

i have lived in FL nearly my entire life and have never needed a dash cover. come to think about it, neither have my parents! i have always kept a sunshade over the windshield, had some type of tint on my windows, and religiously put on amour all (or some type of equivalent) on teh plastic trim to keep it from drying out.

When I took my dash cover off, I realized that having it there made it seem more prone to harmful conditions since you're less likely to keep it protected by liquid based products.

It was all dried out looking.

Anyway, sunshade + Armorall for me.

I've heard horror stories on the net from people using Armor All.

I cant really speak on this subject, I just got here, but my windshield is tinted, I dont have a sunshade yet, but I'd highly recommend one.

I've had three black dashes in three cars and never had a problem with any of them. I just use Armor All protector.

I put armorall on my dash once and couldn't see **** cause of the glare it made on the windshield! haha... My dash is cracked in a few places. originally only had one small one but, I tried to pull it out a while back and made it horribly worse. I just dont care about the dash anymore.

322.66 for a new one for my '98 TA.

I've been using a sunshade for over a year, and from Fall 07 til Spring 08 I had it parked in a parking garage 5 days out of the week. It cracked on me a month or two ago. Now progressively getting worse =/

I don't use a dash cover either; it looks a little cheesy to me. I just have tint on the windows, and use F21 Super Protectant every week or so and my dash looks brand new.
