Too much fabrication/overhead. If the customer does not need A/C or does not have it, the kit will still fit on the car.

Sounds like you ripped me off. You should have done this a few months ago so I could have bought the kit from you

What about air to air? Would that be in the standard kit?
I thought the original idea was the cold side would be up to the customer/installer. Are we headed toward a full kit including cold side?

Remember guys this is a "product development suggestion/opinion Thread" so lets throw ideas around and not worry so much about what direction they are going in.

Well I do have a hotside that is available right now but its an A/C delete setup. It is pretty cheap though.

Then yes, any intercooler option for $375 is a winner. Would the pipes and plumbing still be up to the installer? If you are going to offer the cooler, might as well finish the cold side pipes also. I wonder if a large enough/efficient enough water radiator could be put in the front of the car to keep water temps low enough to out perform a less complicated air to air system. I bet the A2W water radiator would not tax the engine cooling and A/C systems as much as the A2A intercooler would......

Very interesting.........What a great thought provoking thread.........

I figured that the A2W would not only simplify a cold side setup but also be more effecient and a better overall fit. It would also allow for more air flow over the radiator and condensor.

all the hot side parts, intercooler etc...

I like it! And you can stuff the cooler with ice at the track right before a run .
Hmmmm, battery relocation and put the cooler there? That would allow a fairly short run from the turbo to the cooler and back to the throttle body.

you guys really should listen to me, get a impala ss front manifold and it exits right above the heater hoses and solves ALL the problems, no interference whatsoever with the A/C.

Hmmmmmmm. I have not seen the newer manifolds for that motor. I thought the front exhaust manifold was almost horizontal with the exhaust ports and would hit the inner fender on an F-body.
If that manifold pictured was used, I bet that collector would still be right on top of the A/C compressor.

Along with what everyone else said, offer just a hotside that keeps A/C and radiator in stock location. If it was under 3k I'd take the loan out tomorrow. A/C is mine (and plenty of other peoples) only reason for going centri/maggie/nitrous over a turbo.

oh and to all the cry babys about asking too low a price, this is an idea thread, if you can make a kit for $500 then im down.

Make good parts, and stand behind them. If something F*cks up due to a design flaw help us fix it (APS) When you have the parts up for sale, make sure you actually HAVE the parts. (OFI) That would put you above those two companys immediatly.

sickness, just make it under 3 grand and you will be a rich man, keep ac fo sho battery doesnt matter thats extra easy to relocate...good luck man, making a kit that would be in the reach of the other 80% of ls owners sounds like a win win situation...good luck bro with everything

Look at these pics of the LS4 manifold. It looks like it would be right into the A/C compressor if you put it on the passenger's side of an LS1 F-body.

Just throwing something out there....we could always mix and match exhaust manifolds couldnt we? to help solve the ac problem...
